Hi, welcome in the second part of "Prodigy Kid",
this time I show you the works of the second artist who created this exhibition, Francesco Cavaliere.
In addition to the materials, Francesco loves also playing with sound.
The sound of things,the sound of words and the meaning attributed to it.
In "embrioni classe A", embryos are represented as ornaments of different shapes contained in a vacuum plastic.
An almost cruel and ironic representation of a class A embryo (the most resistant) trapped in something that slowly kills him.
yet this is not the meaning of this work and the artist has no interest in such a rational meaning
“catchers of disappearing things”
this could almost be considered the first example of a macromosaic, it is a succession of various plates of the mosaic-like material.
in this work there are theories related to botany and crystallography. Glass cones broadcast surreal music and voices.
I have many personal interpretations on this installation, in case I leave you a comment from the artist about his creation, to give you the possibility to create your own.
“XILEMA is a vascular system that feeds intangible creatures. For now, pulverized. Waves laid on XY axes capable of bloodying the matter with sound. I mean make it live. Living and crumbling, hive. xylems of hurricanes inside fake statues, bipeds, tripeds. My glass horns drip the sounds of these for now pulverized figures.

Translation= "it is the petrified palm of Dular. Creature half glass and half cat... with a turtle back".
in these two rolls of cloth the magic parchments are recreated with a modern font, the words that are written on them
Translation="Gualn are those of the twin cosmos, they collect the extra debris considered as divine signs thus believing they can reaccumulate the twin planet".

This installation contains several works made with materials of various kinds, from books and small wooden boxes to minerals and various small coins.

I really appreciated these works for the simplicity of the material but the work behind the composition of it reminded me a lot of my way of working with collages
"Sketch"
In this drawing made first with a mold and then with a pencil drawing, an entity is depicted behind what appears to be a portrait of the artist.
The next works are inspired by the books of the writer Raymond Roussel and represent surreal and disturbing characters.
"Ricercatori vampiro"
I personally really like the character of the "Il precipitato" ("the precipitate"). The slim body that writhes makes it almost as if it were moving and the vase on the head is a bizarre but original element.

The "Ricercatori"(researchers) are curious faces made with resin and clay.

"Octatomic vaso"
The Octatomic Vaso is an installation i still don't understand since i'm not a chemistry student and i can't get the similarities that this oniric bathtub shares with the term it refers to😅.
over the bathtub, you can see a glass plate with irregular shapes where the head of the artist pops out.
I really appreciated the work behind the installation, glass is something really dear to Francesco being the primary element for some of his works.

"Leonardo il Cavaliere"
This is one of the most famous works of the artist, during his exhibition he usually gets into this suit and performs a sort of parade accompanied by his surreal music.
And these was Francesco Cavaliere's personal works, in the next chapter, we're going to explore the art born from the collaboration with Leonardo Pivi, a mix between surreal and mosaic.
I'll also explain the true meaning behind the name "Prodigy kid", the origin of the idea that lies in ancient stories directly connected to Leonardo Da Vinci's "Atlantic code".
