Greetings traveling friends, I wish you an excellent day with your loved ones, on this occasion I share my visit to the monument sector in Cumaná, it is an area located on the national highway to Carúpano, its name is because in this area there is a monument and sculpture of a Monk and an Indian, this represents the conquest and evangelization of the aboriginal groups that inhabited eastern Venezuela, this sector has a wide walkway and machines for exercises, also with a semi-circular blue wall that serves as a viewpoint, a bench to rest and take nice photos, in the company of my son, last week we went to this sector in the afternoon, the objective was to take a walk along the shore of the beach, since the day was cloudy and the sun's rays were not so strong, after taking the transport, in approximately twenty minutes we arrived at the place and began our tour from the Los Mangles sector to the Cumaná 500 years monument.
In front of the monument sector, there are several residential complexes, commercial establishments and an area with abundant palm trees and bushes that were swayed by the wind, the waves on the beach, which are usually gentle, at this time increase a little due to the intensity of the wind, it is the first time that I visit this place and I see moderate waves, while I waited for my son to do exercises, I sat on the wall that is a little far from the seashore 🌊 and several drops of water fell on my clothes and hair, I stood up from the wall and dried myself with a cloth, I was still cold because added to the humidity of the clothes the wind was strong.
Saludos amigos viajeros, les deseo un excelente día en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión comparto mi visita al sector el monumento en Cumaná, es una zona ubicada en la carretera nacional hacia Carúpano, su nombre obedece a que en esta área se encuentra un monumento y escultura de un Monje y un Indio, esto representa la conquista y evangelización de los grupos aborígenes que habitaban el Oriente venezolano, este sector cuenta con una amplia caminería y máquinas para realizar ejercicios, también con un muro semi circular de color azul que sirve de mirador, banco para descansar y tomar lindas fotos, en compañía de mi hijo, la semana pasada nos dirigimos a este sector en horas de la tarde, el objetivo era realizar una caminata por la orilla de la playa, ya que el día estaba nublado y los rayos del sol no eran tan fuertes, luego de tomar el transporte, en aproximadamente veinte minutos llegamos al lugar e iniciamos nuestro recorrido desde el sector los Mangles hasta el monumento Cumaná 500 años.
Frente al sector el monumento, se ubican varios conjuntos residenciales, establecimientos comerciales y un área con abundantes palmeras y arbustos que eran balanceados por el viento, el oleaje en la playa, que regularmente es suave, a esta hora aumenta un poco por la intensidad del viento, es la primera vez que visito este lugar y veo un oleaje moderado, mientras esperaba que mi hijo hiciera ejercicios, me senté en el muro que queda un poco retirado de la orilla del mar 🌊 y varias gotas de agua cayeron en mi ropa y cabello, me paré del muro y me sequé con un paño, aún así tenía frío porque sumado a la humedad de la ropa el viento era fuerte.
During the walk, we observed several marine animals such as; Crabs, Seagulls, Pelicans, several snail shells and many bees around the purslane plants, at this time of day the crabs usually climb the rocks, perhaps to feed or rest, I really do not know the reason, but on many occasions we have seen them in the afternoon, walking on the rocks, visiting the monument in the afternoon has many advantages, since the breeze is fresh and the sun's rays are not so strong, on this occasion added to the afternoon time, it helped us that the day was cloudy and the sun could barely be seen, which allowed us to take a longer tour; the 500 years Cumaná monument is made up of several sculptures with men and women emerging from a flower, according to the explanation of a resident, it represents the origin of life and how it flows each day, to bring new beings into the world.
Durante la caminata, observamos varios animales marinos como; Cangrejos Gaviotas, Pelícanos, varias conchas de caracolas y muchas abejas alrededor de las plantas de verdolaga, a esta hora del día los cangrejos suelen subir a las rocas, tal vez para alimentarse o descansar, realmente desconozco el motivo, pero en muchas ocasiones los hemos visto en horas de la tarde, caminar por las rocas, visitar el monumento en la tarde tiene muchas ventajas, pues la brisa es fresca y los rayos del sol no están tan fuertes, en esta oportunidad sumado a la hora de la tarde, nos ayudó que el día estaba nublado y apenas se podía ver el sol, lo cual nos permitió hacer un recorrido más largo; el monumento 500 años Cumaná está formado por varias esculturas con hombres y mujeres que emergen de una flor, según la explicación de un residente, representa el origen de la vida y como esta fluye cada día, para traer nuevos seres al mundo.
We tried to take a photo of the crabs, but as incredible as it may seem, these animals do move quickly. While I was looking for the best angle with my phone's camera, the crab had already left. I was only able to take one photo, and upon checking, the crab was barely visible and blended into the rocks.
From approximately 5:30 in the afternoon, more people arrived at the walk, this place is very crowded and in the evening hours, many people and athletes gather at this beautiful place to take walks and exercise, we also saw a cute dog that accompanied his doggy father to do the walk, when we arrived at the monument 500 years Cumaná, I noticed that the letters "I love Cumaná" were changed, previously they were of various colors and currently they are blue and white with a red heart, the previous ones were on a concrete wall and these are on the floor and combine very well with the color of the sea and the sky, already at 6:30 in the afternoon we took the transport back home, it was a nice and fun walk in which we enjoyed the fresh breeze and a cloudy sky with little sun.
Intentamos tomarle foto a los cangrejos, pero aunque parezca increíble estos animales si que se mueven rápido, mientras buscaba el mejor ángulo con la cámara del teléfono ya el cangrejo se había ido, solo pude tomarle una foto y al revisar, el cangrejo apenas se puede ver y se confunde con las rocas.
A partir de las 5:30 de la tarde aproximadamente, llegaron más personas al paseo, este lugar es muy concurrido y en el horario vespertino, muchas personas y atletas se dan cita a este hermoso lugar para realizar caminatas y ejercicios, también vimos un lindo perro que acompañaba a su papá perruno a hacer la caminata, al llegar al monumento 500 años Cumaná, observé que las letras "Yo amo a Cumaná" fueron cambiadas, anteriormente eran de varios colores y actualmente son de color azul y blanco con el corazón rojo, las anteriores estaban en un muro de concreto y estas se encuentran en el piso y combinan muy bien con el color del mar y el cielo, ya a las 6: 30 de la tarde tomamos el transporte de vuelta a casa, fue un lindo y divertido paseo en el cual disfrutamos la brisa fresca y un cielo nublado con poco sol.
