A week before the d-day I was facing a lot of problems, pressures, stress and above all I was very frustrated. I needed to cool my head and maybe go somewhere far away.
I believed if I had enough money ๐ฐ I would probably book a flight โ๏ธ to Maldives ๐ฒ๐ป or so. But then I couldnโt afford that so I had to search around to see if there is a nice place I could go to.
The lekki conservation center also know as LCC came into my mind though I have been hearing about it and I said to my self this is the best time to visit and see with my eyes ๐ what others have been talking about .
The LCC is a natural resource center where the longest canopy walk way in Africa is located.
We went by road , it was a 2 hours 30 minutes drive from my house ๐ก to the location, a little bit traffic but we finally got there.
We met other people that also came to have fun and not surprise it was also their first time to be there, I guess everyone was just curious ๐คจ and it made it fun ๐คฉ.
We were ask to pay for the entrance fee which is โฆ2000( Nigerian naira), afterwards a lady came and introduce her self as our tour guide, she told us about the history of the place and also some dos and don'ts. She said we can't hold any eat able things because it might attract the monkey to us and they might start dragging it from us which wouldn't be nice.
We proceeded and started walking through the walk way it was quite long but was interesting with everyone gisting and saying different unimaginable things like what if a snake just jump on any of us ๐๐คฃ๐
While we were walking the tour guide keep talking about the year that place was founded most of us weren't even listening until she said there are crocodiles under the walkway, we were so scared and proceeded to walk very gently.
Later we stop by the a very tall tree house that needed a ladder to get on to it
View from down
This was how it look while climbing.
Some of us were scared but I wasn't, I just wanted to experience every thing and maybe get a lot of things out of my head. I wasn't seeing anything to be scared of I just want to have fun.
Up the tree house you get to see the surroundings. After about 20 mins up there we continue our walking down to the canopy walk on our way we met some monkeys and birds but it was more of monkeys
They were staring at us and waiting to see if we had any food with us so they can pounce on us and collect it.
Finally we got to the longest canopy walk way in Africa.
It was pretty much and it keeps getting higher and higher, other were scared but I wasn't, I knew I wasn't going to fall even when the guide was shaking the walk way. Took lots of pictures while walking and also lot of videos also.
This was what I enjoyed the most in our small daycation, after all the walking, the shouting and the fears we finally got to a place they call family house, they sell foods and drinks and also a resting place after our walk.
We sat down and still took more pictures till we were filled.
We also saw a big fish pond with quite a number of fishes inside
To me it was really fun, I regained my self after the whole experience and work continued
After spending about 3 hours there we started packing up to go home.
Thank you so much for reading ๐ ๐ ๐
