Hello everyone! I hadn't actually planned on writing my second post this soon, but after taking the first step, it became really easy. I feel like I've regained my old motivation, and I hope it doesn't. Today, I want to show you a place that's just as vibrant and lively as the last one. Akyaka, Muğla, is a quiet and peaceful holiday resort nestled in the mountains, surrounded by nature. Although Akyaka is a neighborhood within the Ula district of Muğla province, it has developed significantly compared to its surroundings and has become a holiday destination thanks to its natural beauty.
Far from the Aegean crowds, its bougainvillea-adorned streets and stone-walled houses, which have managed to preserve their unique texture, enchant you. 🌺🌼🌸🌹🌷 A perfect break from the city crowds to unwind. Deep blue sea on one side, lush green mountains on the other, and vibrant Akyaka right in the middle.🌺🌷🌹🌸🌼
One of the places that makes Akyaka so popular is the Azmak River, but my husband @bilginselcuk will show you this place and will be joining us again soon. Let this be an invitation to her.😊
Akyaka is a beautiful place, but finding everything isn't easy. Getting there requires a series of steep, winding roads. The narrow, sometimes one-way roads between the mountains were quite challenging for us. If you're coming from the Marmaris-Fethiye direction, you should be especially careful. The Sakar Pass here was quite tiring, both on the way up and on the way down. The winding roads caused a foul odor from the vehicle's brakes and tires. With that in mind, I recommend choosing this route. 🛣️🚗🚘In the summer, finding parking can be a bit difficult for visitors.
While studying for the KPSS exam, I memorized the places designated as cittaslows (slow cities) in the geography section. Akyaka was among the places designated as cittaslows in 2011. I remembered this information when I arrived here and thought it was a great choice. It was wonderful to feel that walking through the flowery streets and breathing in their scent was so good for our souls. I wish I could have shared these beautiful moments with all my loved ones. 🌺🌸🌺🌷The houses, locations, and streets truly looked like they stepped out of a novel. For example, I don't remember the exact name of the house, its location, or what it was used for, but one of them was called "Mor Salkımlı Ev (House With Purple Wisteria)." It had a huge purple bougainvillea vine in front of it. However, I don't think I took a photo of it because I was so disappointed when I searched for it in my gallery and couldn't find it. Still, I remember a place like this, and my husband and I even had a conversation like, "Wow, what a beautifully themed house! And of course, I asked if she knew the author." 😊 If I'm confusing this with a place I've visited before, please forgive me and let me know if you know the correct answer. If I visit again, it'll be the first place I check out. 🏘️🏡🏠
Of course, since it's a resort town, you can find everything you're looking for at local vendors. Prices may be a bit high, but compared to other resorts, they're quite reasonable. I hope you'll visit one day and remember what I wrote. Thanks for reading. 🌼

Herkese yeniden merhaba ikinci yazımı bu kadar hızlı yazmayı düşünmemiştim aslında ancak ilk adımı attıktan sonra gerçekten daha kolay yazma konusunda oluyor eski motivasyonumu yakalamış gibi hissediyorum umarım bunu kaybetmem. Bugünde en az önceki kadar renkli ve cıvıl cıvıl bir yeri göstermek istiyorum sizlere. Muğla Akyaka dağların arasında doğayla iç içe sakin ve huzur dolu bir tatil beldesi. Akyaka, Muğla ilinin Ula ilçesine bağlı bir mahalle olarak geçiyor ancak çevresine göre epey gelişmiş ve doğal güzellikleriyle bir tatil destinasyonuna dönüşmüş.
Ege'nin kalabalığından uzak kendine has dokusunu koruyabilmiş, begonvillerle bezeli sokakları ve taş duvarlı evleriyle adeta sizi kendine hayran bırakıyor.🌺🌼🌸🌹🌷 Şehrin kalabalığından kaçmak, zihninizi dinlendirmek için muhteşem bir uğrak noktası. Bir tarafında masmavi denizi bir tarafında yeşile bürünmüş dağları ve tam ortada rengarenk Akyaka.🌺🌷🌹🌸🌼
Akyaka'yı bu kadar popüler yapan yerlerden birisi de Azmak Nehri ancak burayı eşim @bilginselcuk sizlere gösterecek, yakın zamandan oda tekrar aramıza katılacak. Buda burdan kendisine bir davet olmuş olsun.😊
Akyaka çok çok güzel bir yer ancak her güzelliğe ulaşmak çok kolay olmuyor. Buraya gelebilmek için hayli virajlı ve dik yollardan geçmek zorunda kalıyorsunuz. Dağların arasından dar ve yer yer tek yönlü yollar bizi epey zorlamıştı. Özellikle Marmaris -Fethiye istikametinden geliyorsanız çok dikkatli olmalısınız. Burada yer alan Sakar Geçidi hem giderken hem geri dönerken bizim için epey yorucu olmuştu. Giderken rampa aşağı virajlı yollar aracın fren sisteminden ve tekerlerinden koku gelmesine sebep olmuştu. Bunları göze alarak bu yolu seçmenizi öneririm. 🛣️🚗🚘Park yeri bulmakta yaz aylarında ziyaret edenler için biraz zorlayıcı olabiliyor.

Kpss sınavına çalışırken coğrafya kısmında cittaslow (sakin şehir) seçilen yerleri ezberliyordum. Akyaka da 2011 yılında cittaslow olarak seçilen yerler arasına girmişti. Buraya gelince bu bilgiyi hatırladım ve çok yerinde bir seçim olduğunu düşündüm. Çiçekli sokaklarda yürürken kokularını içimize çekerek yürümenin bile ruhumuza iyi geldiğini hissetmek güzeldi. Keşke bu güzellikleri tüm sevdiklerimle yapabilseydim diye içimden geçirdim. 🌺🌸🌺🌷 Evlerin, mekanların isimleri ve sokakların görüntüleriyle gerçekten romanlardan fırlamış gibiydi. Mesela bir ev miydi mekan mıydı ne amaçla kullanılıyordu tam hatırlamıyorum ancak bir yerin ismi 'Mor Salkımlı Ev'di. Önünde kocaman mor begonvil asması vardı. Ancak buranın fotoğrafını çekmemişim sanırım çünkü galerimi iyice karıştırdım fakat o evi bulamadım bunun için çok üzüldüm ancak böyle bir yer olduğunu hatırlıyorum hatta eşimle aramızda şu konuşmayı yapmıştık "aa bak ne kadar güzel temalı bir ev olmuş, ve tabiki yazarını biliyor musun diye de sormuştum". 😊Eğer burayı başka gezdiğim bir yer ile karıştırıyorsamda lütfen kusura bakmayın ve doğrusunu biliyorsanız yazın. Tekrar burayı gezecek olursam da ilk bulacağım yer o ev olacak.🏘️🏡🏠
Yerel satıcılarda da aradığınız herşeyi bulabilirsiniz tabi tatil kasabası olduğu için fiyatlar bir miktar pahalı gelebilir ancak diğer tatil bölgelerine göre ise çok uygun sayılır. Umarım birgün buraya yolunuz düşer ve yazdıklarımı anımsarsınız, okuduğunuz için teşekkür ederim.🌼
