Have you ever had a power outage in your area and going on an accidental adventure? No? Well, I just did it.. and it was amazing..
When I knew that there is going to be a scheduled power outage from 8 AM to 6 PM,, i had 2 things in my mind,, first, i had no generator, and second, i can not survive the whole day without a fan or Wi-Fi. because of the intense heat this past few weeks..
So i decided to find some place to chill with a generator so that i could relax.. and to go away from the heat..
i asked my friend and luckily the place that he suggested "Hacienda Justina" was near to my house.. I knew about this place before but i never been there.. this would be my first time..
and you know what? i was surprised because i never imagined this place was perfect to chill and hanging around not just to wait for the power to come back..

🌴 wow, this is not what i expected..
As soon as arrive,, i can see the wide open green spaces and the colorful sign of HACIENDA JUSTINA.. The place is so wide.. it is so peaceful, with out-of-town, resort-farm vibe that made me forget that i don't have electricity at home.. 😁
🏊♂️ There was swimming pools for both kids and adults.. One pool has a slide and another has a giant mushroom water spray (yes, like a smurf’s personal shower 😆). Kids were splashing around.. and the adults,, some were pretending not to have back pain while trying the slide,, that's me 🤣.. it was so refreshing..
🐓 i got tired of jumping and sliding,, so i decided to go to their mini farm..

the first animal i saw was this ostrich.. the ostrich was so agile, walking back and forth that i can't take a good picture of it.. 😂

unlike this sheep,, it stays still and even look at me in the eye,, it's like saying "come on, take a picture of my 🏀🏀.. I'm showing them to you😁"
i'm waiting for the peacocks to show their colorful feather,, but they just stare at,, it's like they are saying "nope, not today.. we are not in the mood to show our feather"😕
there were other animals like swans and chicken,, but i decided not to take photos of them because they were so grumpy,, they keep on running away from me, as if they are celebrities running away from paparazzi.. 😁
then there was this wooden swing. Adults can sit, relax and swing while pretending not to be jealous of the kids giggling next to them 🤣..i even took a turn,, and almost fell asleep.. 🤣
i also found a small shrine under the trees. It was peaceful and serene, a perfect spot to sit, reflect, and ask why I didn’t go this place sooner. 😁
🚫 the highlight of the place was used to be the ATV rides.. USED TO BE.
they had these rugged ATVs that now sit quietly under the tree.. why?
because a bunch of fearless teenagers thought they were in a Fast & Furious movie and wrecked them (Thanks, guys 😒)

🏡 there were also A-frame cabins you can rent if you want to stay overnight..you can choose from the small hut and the big air-conditioned rooms..

it started as my desperate escape from a power outage and it turned into a mini getaway filled with nature, laughter and random animal encounters...
So next time the power’s out… don’t sweat it.
Go find your own accidental adventure. Just don’t expect the ATVs to be waiting for you. 😉
Would I come back to Hacienda Justina?
Absolutely. But next time, I’m bringing snacks, sunscreen... and more
