Sumilon Island is an amazing excursion that you should not miss, especially if you are visiting Oslob,Cebu. It's a little sandbar island off the coast of Oslob Cebu which is undeniably a fantastic place to spend a day resting, exploring, and swimming.
The entire island has only one lodging option, the Blue Water Resort. Those with a lot of money may stay here and have a fantastic overnight excursion, but it will be costly. However, when I visited this location, I just remained for 6 hours and did not stay overnight. It's a good thing I brought extra food because everything they sell there is somewhat costly.
Apart from the sandbar, the best thing you can do is snorkel all the way around it. The Marine Sanctuary, on the other hand, is the greatest snorkeling spot on the island. This is a protected marine area located a short distance from the main swimming area on the sandbar. The total cost was 300 PHP, which included the guiding charge. I noticed a lot of huge fish when we went there, and that's when I found Nemu (*clown fish *). I had no idea this fish was so friendly and it's no surprise Nemu was taken in the movie. In addition, I also saw a reef shark.
The island sandbar is unique because it is constantly moving in direction. Monsoon bring tropical rain and tidal patterns that cause the sandbar to change.
I also got the opportunity to swim between the two islands on the way back. I was first terrified since I couldn't see the ocean's bottom. But, with so many people looking at me, I didn't have a choice but to jump.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip for me. One of the most stunning sandbars I've ever seen. There is, however, no shaded spot where you may get some relief from the hot sun. So don't forget to bring your sunscreen to avoid getting sunburned while enjoying the sun's rays.
