Of the vast and richness of landscapes my countryside has offered, still, I am always blown away every time I discover a hidden paradise one after another. And how much more if I indulged myself to it for a day? - A perfect hidden paradise to catch some waves and filled my eyes by the mesmerizing beauty of its cliff and clear aqua water!

I'd say we were one of the few lucky fellows who discovered earlier this beautiful rocky cove of E&J before it started to attract huge crowds of beachgoers and paradise hunters. ☺️
Taraaa! Let me tour you around!
- E & J HIDDEN PARADISE -
Nestled in Odlot, Bogo City, Cebu, is a quiet and mesmerizing cove of E&J which has been sitting peacefully away from the eyes of the people for quite some time. Its door was only opened to the public since the Pandemic. This happened when the family owner posted a photo of their Bamboo beach hut with the mesmerizing background of the unique cliff and the pristine beach! Since then, the Cove has always been filled with people who seek refreshments, especially on weekends.
I've been to this place twice. The first one, was when we(extended family) first time discovered this Paradise, and the second one was when my own small family came back to experience the beauty of the place one more time! And what makes our day more enjoyable in this lovely paradise is that we were able to see the beauty of the Cove in both low tides and high tides! And I couldn't wait to share it with you guys! 💃
The Arrival and the Discovery.
One could not tell, that there is a mesmerizing cove lying below the cliff that we were standing on. All that meets our eyes are the refreshing and lush trees at the entrance of the cove.
But as we stepped closer we finally saw the stairs that will take us down to this secluded cove. The cemented stairs are steep but it is very safe to walk on because of the handles at its side.
Tropical Paradise
I was dumbfounded by the tropical paradise that greets my eyes! The crystal aqua blue water, the stunning cliff formation, the bamboo huts, the serenity of the place, and the striking beauty of the whole cove!
"Woooowww!", was the only word I uttered.
I just couldn't believe that it took a Pandemic to hit first before we discovered this Paradise.
At high tides, the Cove looks majestically deep and sparkling under the scorching heat of the sun! While on low tides, the Cove looks lively as the waves kiss the rocks on the shore back and forth.
Aaaahh both were a beauty to behold!

What made this Cove unique from any other beaches in the North of Cebu is the Cliff/Rock formation it has at the front.
During high tides, the Cliff at the front looks like a small islet inviting everyone to come and stand on top of it! While on low tides, you will see the bare ground of the Cove connecting all of these rock formations.
Standing in between the cliffs, one could feel and see a Palawan-vibe!

Of course, I climbed to the top of the cliff to see the overall beauty of the Cove. And it was stunning!

The Bamboo Beach Huts
The Hidden Paradise has enough Huts to accommodate its guest. The half-open huts are so refreshing and relaxing to stay on.
The prices vary on their size. The smaller one cost 350Php and the bigger ones cost 500Php. One can also rent a table that only costs 150Php.
How to get there?
📍For public transportation, ride a Bus from Cebu City and be dropped by at the heart of Bogo City. From there ride a tricycle going to Brgy. Odlot and tell them to drop you off at E&J Hidden Paradise.
🧭Again, it's Cebu City-Bogo City- Brgy.Odlot- E&J Hidden Paradise.Travel time from Cebu City is 2-3 hours.
📍For private vehicles. Navigate Waze to E&J Hidden Paradise, Brgy. Odlot, Bogo City, Cebu. Or if you are an adventure seeker like me, you can go straight to Bogo City and ask locals which way to go going Odlot, once in Odlot, asked the locals again which way is E&J and enjoy your adventure of discovery.
Notes:
-Entrance fee /head: 20.00PHP
-There are no convenient stores near the place so bring food, drinks, and all things you need for your best beach experience.
-Bring your sunblock and goggles if you are up to swimming!
