El fin de semana suele ser para relajarse, divertirse y pasarla en familia o con amigos. En esta oportunidad les quisiera regalar lo que fue mi primer fin de semana del año fuera de casa, sé que han pasado varias semanas ya desde el inicio del año, pero aquí he preparado como fue ese día.
Desde el año anterior, ir a la playa los primeros días del año nuevo se convirtió en mi ritual de depuración y agradecimiento. Ese día sirve para relajarme de las ajetreadas festividades, en concreto de la navidad que en mi caso no significa descanso. El día fue muy tranquilo, a pesar de que no hubo mucho sol y se sentía aún ese frío característico de diciembre; todos la pasamos muy bien, en especial los niños que no salían del agua.
The weekend is usually for relaxing, having fun and spending it with family or friends. This time I would like to share with you what was my first weekend of the year away from home, I know it has been several weeks since the beginning of the year, but here I have prepared what that day was like.
Since last year, going to the beach on the first days of the new year became my ritual of purification and gratitude. That day serves to relax from the busy festivities, in particular Christmas, which in my case does not mean rest. The day was very calm, even though there was not much sun and we still felt that characteristic December cold; we all had a great time, especially the children who did not get out of the water.
Estuve planificando esta salida un par de semanas antes, pagar el transporte, determinando que comeríamos y de resto esperar llegara ese domingo. Salimos de Caracas a las 8:00 a.m. hasta playa Los Ángeles en el estado La Guaira.
El viaje fue de solo una hora lo que nos daba unas siete horas de estadía en aquel lugar de relajación, apenas llegamos buscamos un lugar cómodo dónde estar cerca de la orilla de la playa; de este modo podríamos estar pendiente de los niños.
I was planning this trip a couple of weeks in advance, paying for the transportation, determining what we would eat, and waiting for the rest to arrive that Sunday. We left Caracas at 8:00 a.m. to Los Angeles beach in the state of La Guaira.
The trip was only one hour which gave us about seven hours of stay in that place of relaxation, as soon as we arrived we looked for a comfortable place to be near the shore of the beach; this way we could be aware of the children.
Como les comentaba al principio, este viaje es parte de mi ritual de agradecimiento y depuración. Ofrendar una sandía al mar, agradecer al universo por todas las bendiciones recibidas y dejar que sea el agua misma la que se lleve todas las cargas negativas que hayan podido quedar del año anterior.
Suelo pasar unos cuantos minutos antes de volver al toldo dónde dejé a mis hijos y esposa, fueron unos treinta minutos en los que medite y dejé que el choque de las olas en las rocas me salpicara el rostro de fresca agua salada.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this trip is part of my ritual of gratitude and purification. Offering a watermelon to the sea, thanking the universe for all the blessings received, and letting the water itself carry away all the negative charges that may have remained from the previous year.
I usually spend a few minutes before returning to the awning where I left my children and wife, it was about thirty minutes in which I meditated and let the crash of the waves on the rocks splash my face with fresh saltwater.
Sin duda una de las partes que más disfruto de estas salidas de casa es poder ver a los niños felices, suelen pasar mucho tiempo confinados y permitirles conectarse con el exterior, con la naturaleza, se vuelve renovador para ellos al igual que para nosotros.
Apenas llegamos corrieron a la orilla a chapotear en el agua y jugar con la arena, iban y venían y sin duda puedo afirmar que lo disfrutaron mucho. Ellos tenían mucho tiempo sin ir a la playa y estaban muy agradecidos de aquella experiencia, el 9 de enero fue "un día diferente"; tomamos algunas fotos, comimos mucho y mientras tanto los niños disfrutaron del agua y la arena. Aunque no podría decir lo mismo del sol, el cual salió muy poco ya que había mucha nubosidad.
Without a doubt one of the parts I enjoy most about these outings is being able to see the kids happy, they tend to spend a lot of time confined, and allowing them to connect with the outdoors, with nature, becomes renewing for them as well as for us.
As soon as we arrived they ran to the shore to splash in the water and play with the sand, they came and went and I can say that they enjoyed it very much. They had a long time without going to the beach and were very grateful for that experience, January 9th was "a different day"; we took some pictures, ate a lot, and meanwhile the kids enjoyed the water and the sand. Although I could not say the same for the sun, which came out very little as there was a lot of cloud cover.
La playa estaba muy concurrida, había una cantidad de personas bastante significativa. Por lo general esta es una de las playas más visitada en temporada por los turistas capitalinos, a pesar de ello, el ambiente es bastante agradable y aunque las olas son un poco fuertes; se puede disfrutar del agua sin ningún problema y sin que nadie te moleste pues también es bastante grande.
La atención por quienes reciben a los turistas es muy a Mena, siempre están en la disposición de ayudarte y atenderte en todo lo que les sea posible. Hay servicio de comida y bebida, buena señal telefónica para los que deben seguir conectados y personas que cuidan nadie pase más allá de los límites seguros para nadar y disfrutar del mar.
En un par de oportunidades pasaron varias chicas con uno que otro niño que se había extraviado, pues como ya decía; la playa es muy grande y el movimiento del agua hace que los niños se vayan desplazando por esta y si los padres no tienen especial cuidado pueden perderlos de vista.
The beach was very crowded, there was a significant amount of people. Usually, this is one of the most visited beaches in the season by tourists from the capital, despite this, the atmosphere is quite pleasant and although the waves are a little strong; you can enjoy the water without any problem and without anyone bothering you because it is also quite large.
The attention of those who receive the tourists is very much a Mena, they are always willing to help you and assist you in everything they can. There is food and beverage service, a good phone signal for those who need to stay connected, and people who take care that no one goes beyond the safe limits to swim and enjoy the sea.
On a couple of occasions, several girls passed by with one or two children who had lost their way, because as I said, the beach is very large and the movement of the water makes the children move around and if parents are not especially careful they can lose sight of them.

La playa por su gran extensión tiene una parte A y otra B, en esta oportunidad me tocó estar en la parte B de la misma y esta ofrece un buen espacio cercano a la orilla del mar.
