Hello Hivers and Pinmapple pips! This is @chariiing and I am excited to share to you our experience at during our stay at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort. The resort boasts gracious hospitality meets tropical elegance!

Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort

Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort is surrounded by coconut trees, may where they came up with their name because "Lubi" is the Visayan word for coconut. According to the one of the staff we talked, they cultivate and plant their own coconut and has an area dedicated to grow their coconuts. The resort also offers white sand beaches and a unique diverse marine life.

The resort is located in an island in the heart of Davao Guld in the province of Davao de Oro and it is accessible with their free scheduled speedboat transfer and is about 5 minutes away from the port. We arrived at around 10:00 AM in the morning and our schedule is around 10:30 AM in the morning.

After arriving at the resort, we were welcomed by their dancing staffs and provided us coconut water as welcome drinks. Unfortunately, we do not have photos of their dancing staffs and the coconut water. After their short presentation, we were transferred to the resort front desk to check-in but we arrived really early before our check-in time which is 2:00 PM. Since we have a lot of time before checking in, we explore the resort by foot as we are lucky at that time because it was not that hot at that time. Here are some photos of the resort.

The Beachfront

They also have beach chairs available if you just want to watch the view of the sea and listen to the crashing waves.

Indoor and Outdoor Activities

Aside from the beautiful beach, they are also have a fully-equipped gym, and indoor activities such as pitch and putt, puzzle mini gold, e-games center, an old joystick with a lot of games, and a karaoke area for families and friends to enjoy. They also have outdoor facilities such as tennis, basketball, their life size chess board, and they also have swings to ride.

We also had our lunch at one of their dining area, at Tarictic Grill Poolside Dining where we ordered beef caldereta and sisig. The also have Ga-Ti Thai Restaurant, Burger Bar and Steak Room, and Tarictic Grill Indoor Dining. We also chose to have Dinner at Tarictic Grill Poolside Dining as we prefer to have Filipino food that night.

Oceanfront Balcony

After taking our lunch, we check in at our room. We chose the Deluxe Room with Ocean Balcony, a room which can accommodate up to three guests. The room has a stunning view of the ocean. We spent some of our time during the afternoon sipping a cup of coffee in our oceanfront balcony.

For convenience, they have cabs to fetch you wherever you are at the resort as the whole island is so vast go to one area to another. You just have to call the front desk to be fetched. They also have a Spa where you can have body massage, body scrub, body mask and facial.

Witnessing Sunrise and Early Morning Dip

On the next day, they will offer you to witness sunrise at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort while sipping a cup of tea. The sunrise is so relaxing and it is very beautiful to watch. After sunrise watching, we dip at the pool for a bit as there were no other guests during that time.

Experience

Overall, we really had a very nice experience at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort. We are told by one of the staff that the resort is still not 100% finished at that time and will have more improvement and activities in the future. And if you are wondering how they power the resort as they are located in an island, they rely on solar panels and has backup power resources. We are also not able to do fish feeding during our visit. Not only that it offers luxury stay, their staffs are really hospitable. We will surely be back here some time!
