Discovering some places seem to be interesting, especially when they are known and the talk of the town. Sometimes we tend to listen on people's travel stories, and the place they visited that they loved. Is it just me, or some of you also experience the urge to travel and visit a place when people start talking about it?
I have been hearing about the resort at the top of the mountain, somewhere in Subic, Zambales. But along with the descriptions of the resort park is the fact that the entrance fee is quite pricey. Since I could not afford going there before yet, I just put it on my list.
Years passed, and I was lucky enough to witness the beauty of the famous Kurukutok Resort Park for free. It is because my partner's relatives celebrated birthdays there, which gave me a ticket to experience the resort and let alone have stories to tell too.
The location of the resort park is indeed in the middle of the mountains, which gave me also the chance to enjoy and appreciate nature more. There are trees, flowers, and different plants around the resort and it was full of greenery scenes.
I never forget to walk around and take pictures. There was a man who talked to us, sharing that there are a total of 12 pools around the resort. Some are for the kids, and some are for adults.
We have seen a few with slides, but we also learned that they are using fresh water coming from the mountain. Plus, they are not using any chemical for their water. It explains why the pools are overflowing, and the water was really cold.
We did not stop from checking out the pools, but also started to climb the other parts of the resort, which showed us that there are also other activities you can do in there aside from swimming.
When we got to the top, we have seen the deepest pool area and decided to dip ourselves in there. There are a lot of choices, but my partner and I wanted to swim somewhere quiet and with less people to avoid the crowd.
It was so fun swimming back and forth. We also loved the coldness of the water and it felt like we were swimming in a waterfalls because of the surroundings.
After a few minutes, we heard people coming and it was my partner's relatives. They were also roaming around and we invited them to go swim with us, but the pool was not ideal for them. They were afraid since it was the deepest in the resort. And to enjoy the day with his relatives, we decided to go with them and join them in checking out the resort.
My partner went swimming with his sister and I grabbed my phone to take pictures of them, since I find the moment cute. Actually, his sister was hesitant to go with him but we convinced her that they will only take a few shots.
We headed to our cottage after roaming around, and ate lunch. I did not have the chance to take pictures since it might look disrespectful to others. We just enjoyed eating and took a rest for a few minutes before continuing our swimming moments.
It took us hours of swimming and spending time together. And when it was already time to go home, I asked my partner to take pictures of me for the last time, for remembrance.
Overall, the resort park was really great and a perfect spot for those who want to enjoy swimming and at the same time, witness the beauty of nature. We are already planning to go back there!
