What's up, Hivers? It's me again, your Cherry from Cebu! Give a quick stop to dive in:😊
May 26, 2025, when I myself and my colleagues plan to have a trip and it was in Balamban, Cebu situated along the Transcentral Highway. It was all worth it since I'm with my friends whom I'm comfortable. It's was my college dream to visit different places even until now. Money, Time, and Transportation these are the aforementioned necessities that I must have to.
In the morning, we bought Lechon Manok and hanging rice near at the Ayala Center to save money because we knew for sure that foods that Balamban could be a bit pricey. Anyway, for only three hundred pesos, you can visit Buwakan ni Alejandra, Adventure Cafe and Zipline and that Park with a pool but I forgot the name of its place. Anyway, after 1-2 hours of a long ride, we finally arrived at our destination.
At the entrance, adults aged 11 to 59 need to pay 100 pesos, while children aged 6 to 10, as well as senior citizens (SC) and persons with disabilities (PWD), pay 75 pesos. They also offer a photoshoot package, which costs 1,250 pesos without a room and 2,000 pesos with a room. After that, they also informed us of some basic rules, such as no picking of flowers. If anyone does, there is a penalty of five hundred pesos. Indeed, they have a beautiful, fragrant and unique flowers.
A minutes after the short orientation, we headed to their restaurant to have some chill, savor their best food offerings and a fun conversation with friends. Later on, we went to all corners of the "Buwakan ni Alejandra" and cherish all those flowers and it was all worth it since I'm also a fan of flowers. I really appreciate them.
After exploring the area, we decided to take a dip in a pool. But first, we headed to another nearby spot—not far from Buwakan ni Alejandra—where the entrance fee was 75 pesos. I forgot the name of the place. When we arrived, we looked around hoping to find something new, but it was mostly the same flowers as those in Buwakan ni Alejandra.
The only unique features were a hanging bridge and the pool. I didn’t take many pictures because my phone was low on battery and needed charging, which the management kindly assisted with.
Later that day, when we finally got to see the pool, we noticed it wasn’t very clean and definitely needed improvement. Even though we were eager to cool off because of the heat, we decided not to swim because of what we saw. Still, we enjoyed some funny conversations with my friends, talking about work while just relaxing and chilling.
After taking rest, my friends came up with another plan —to go on another adventure and explore new things. So, every one of us agreed on that idea, we decided to go and visit the "Adventure Park" to try their so called, Zipline. It only cost 200 peso per person, which was worth to the experience.
During that time, the staff already set-up those necessary things needed for our adventure and we felt nervous since that's our first activity we've encountered the whole life. Kuya —a kind hearted man, explained the rules, guidelines and a proper way in order to avoid any accidents which was we followed. Eventually, we truly enjoyed the experience. For me, it's only the first time makes you feeling nervous; once you experienced it, you end up loving it.
As a conclusion, our trip to Balamban was more than just a break from routine—it was a gentle reminder of how moments shared with the right people in the right places can transform our entire perspective, I’ll surely back here.
I know that life may be full of stress, disappointments, and routines that wear us down, but stepping away, even just for a while, helps us see its brighter side. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, laughter, and heartfelt conversations, I was reminded that peace doesn’t always come from silence—it sometimes blooms in shared joy. (Thank you always guys) and whether it was the vibrant flowers of Buwakan ni Alejandra, the thrill of the zipline, or simply eating lechon manok with friends, each moment spoke of simplicity and connection HAHA.
I realized that being with genuine people in uplifting spaces clears away the heaviness of everyday life. It’s in those small, unexpected pauses where we breathe more freely, laugh a little louder, and feel more alive haha. God truly created a beautiful world—not just in landscapes, but also in shared human experience. And for that, I’m incredibly thankful. This adventure wasn't just a getaway, but a moment with new memories. Ill be there once again to buy some plants of flowers
Atlast, thank you for diving in and can’t wait for the future to be shared here. I appreciate all your support even if still learning in this Hive Community. God bless and have a great day. This is your Cherry ng Cebu.
