It all started when our main goal for the day was to pick up the newly released passport of Eman, who is my brother's boyfriend. We didn’t really plan to go anywhere else. But after getting the passport, we realized we still had plenty of time left. And suddenly, it struck us “Why not go to TOPS? Right?”

Since, TOPS is the place to escape. TOPS CEBU is literally at the TOP and a TOP of the list because of its people, scenery that has spectacular 360° Panoramic View where unmatched vantage point approximately 600 meters above sea level, providing breathtaking views of Cebu City.

We made the most of our time while we were there, every corner of the place became our photo spot. Whether it was a solo shot or a groupfie, nothing escaped on our camera! They also have Fun Activities and Events where we witnessed a live band, and t’was adorable. PlayFair arcade and carnival games with prizes but when we tried once, we failed! What make us insane was, when while we were playing, we didn’t immediately figure out the technique for grabbing the toy inside the arcade machine. We only realized how it works when we already ran out of coins, HAHA, funny right? We looked at each other and laughed like none of them staring. (But i deleted already the photos, sorry)

None of us had been there before. In fact, it seemed like everyone else had already visited TOPS at least once, and we were the only ones who hadn’t. That increased our excitement and curiosity. Since it was still early in the afternoon and we had no other plans, my brother and his boyfriend decided to bring me there with them. And honestly, it turned out to be a great decision.

We rode a shuttle bus with air-conditioning, which was very comfortable. This shuttle takes you directly to TOPS from a pickup point in the city. You don’t even have to worry about complicated directions or traffic, because it’s a direct trip.
Before riding, they give you a ticket, and you only need to pay the ₱200 fare when you reach TOPS. The best part? That ₱200 already includes the round-trip fare meaning back and forth. Isn’t that such a good deal? For just ₱200, you can enjoy a comfortable ride and an amazing view. It’s definitely worth it. LOL!

Before we went to TOPS, we decided to buy food and drinks from the city. We thought it would be more convenient to bring our own snacks, so we wouldn’t have to worry about buying something once we were already up there. That turned out to be a good idea, especially because just sitting there and eating while enjoying the view made the whole experience even better.

We arrived at TOPS in the evening, which is honestly the best time to go. The view of the city lights at night is simply breathtaking. We’ve seen it online before, photos and videos of the bright, sparkling Cebu City at night but seeing it in person was a whole different experience.The cold breeze, the peaceful atmosphere, and the lights of the city below made it feel like we were in a different world. It’s a perfect escape from the busy streets and noise of the city. When you're up there, it feels like all your worries just disappear. It was calm, relaxing, and truly beautiful.

One thing we noticed about TOPS is that it’s a place for everyone. Whether you're with family, friends, or your partner, it’s a perfect spot. Families can come here to relax, barkadas (groups of friends) can hang out and take pictures, and couples can even go on a romantic date or even propose (when kaya?) yes, the view is that magical.

It’s not just about the view though. It’s the feeling you get while you’re there. It’s like you’re on top of the world, literally. And with good company beside you, the moment becomes even more unforgettable.
We’re so glad we went there, even if it wasn’t in our plan. We spent just a little amount of money, but what we got in return was pure happiness and unforgettable memories. For only ₱200, you already get transportation both ways, access to an amazing place, and time to bond with the people who matter to you.
If we didn’t decide to go that day, we might still be the only ones in our circle who haven’t visited TOPS. But now that we’ve experienced it, we totally understand why people keep recommending it.

Of course! This is your cue to visit TOPS in Cebu if you haven't already. Don’t wait for a special occasion. Even just a spontaneous trip like ours can turn into something truly special. Just make sure to bring a jacket because it can get a little chilly, especially at night. And if you want to make the most of your time, bring food and drinks so you can just sit, relax, and enjoy the view.

Ps. For now, at present, based on what I’ve seen and heard online, Tops Cebu has improved even more because the top floor of the complex is now open. According to many people, you just need to add ₱50 to the entrance fee to enjoy the higher deck of the complex.
Trust me, you won’t regret it.
