Today I will to lead you to a secret paradise not many people know about. It’s where I live and work with a lot stunning views, beautiful landscapes, and fresh air. It’s also a place sure to bring your soul closer to mother nature, and that place is none other than Viet Hai Village.
1. Viet Hai Village location
Located deep in Cat Ba National Park, surrounded by green jungles and high mountains, far away from chaotic urban life, Viet Hai village is the only place where visitors can admire the wild beauty of an old-style village in Cat Ba. This is one of very few traditional villages you can still visit in the north. To get to Viet Hai Village you can either choose trekking through 9 km of jungle trails or taking a boat through Lan Ha bay to Viet Hai habor; either way you will enjoy the journey!
2. Life in Viet Hai Village
** With a population of less than 300, the villagers in Viet Hai mainly live on farming, fishing, and aquaculture. In recent years as tourism demand has grown, many family households have turned to eco-tourism, with the aim of keeping tradition alive while being environmentally responsible. Viet Hai has become an ideal place for domestic and foreign tourists who want to immerse in nature and explore the forests and mountains. **
3. Most beautiful homestay in Viet Hai village
** A place not to be missed when visiting Viet Hai is Lan Homestay. Here you will see traditional style living with thatched roofs, ponds, and orchards. Tourists and travellers can stay in the bungalows sheltered by trees, relax on the hammocks listening to the sound of birds in the beautiful garden. Lan Homestay is an oasis in the jungle that will refesh you soul, and take your mind off of your daily life.**
4. Interesting activities Viet Hai
**There are so many interesting activities you can do when in Viet Hai village such as taking time to visit the hospitable villagers, riding a bicycle through jungle roads, following a local guide to explore nearby caves, or conquer the most beautiful peak in the national park called Navy Peak. Atop the karst mountain you can see all of Ha Long bay, Lan Ha bay and Cat Ba national park. Dare I say; it’s the best view in Vietnam.
** So, if you’re travelling to Catba island don’t forget to visit our peaceful village to enjoy the nature and partake in unforgettable activities .The Lan Family are always ready to welcome new explorers. We hope to see you soon!**
** The national park isn’t the only place that will surprise you when you visit Viet Hai village. The ocean side of the village will also make your trip unforgettable. It’s a great place to explore Lan Ha Bay, which is the less touristed and more scenic sister to Halong Bay.
