Want to trek a mountain? Or need to climb a hill?
Hello to each and every one! And to all hivers! Welcome again to my blog, where I'll be showing you one of Cebu City's most popular tourist destinations—the highest hill or mountain top known as "Osmeña Peak."
OSMEÑA PEAK
At 1,013 meters above sea level, Osmeña Peak is regarded as Cebu's tallest peak. Due to the stunning views and gorgeous, rocky hills that resemble Bohol's Chocolate Hills, it is one and a well-liked hiking destination.
In South Cebu, Philippines, in the Badian mountain range, is where you'll find Osmeña Peak. Badian is 100 kilometers south of Cebu City, and regular buses to Moalboal, Oslob, and Badian depart from Cebu South Bus Terminal every hour, every day. The bus is about 150 pesos in price. However, I prefer going to Carcar, Argao, and Dalaguete where the quickest route to go to its peak is that way.
The Osmeña Peak, so named in honor of the well-known Osmeña clan in Cebu, is the tallest of these hills. The Mantalungon range resembles the Chocolate Hills of Bohol practically in appearance, but the tops of the two ranges are different in that they are rough, rocky, thinner, and have sharper points. So you have to be careful.

THE TRAVEL
From the mountain's base, the actual Osmeña peak trek takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes or 30 depends on you speed. The track is clearly defined and simple to navigate because of its footprints. There will be a few times when you must climb over some rocks, but nothing too difficult.
MY INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE
Osmeña Peak travel was an incredible experience. The first part of the journey, a three-hour drive from Cebu City to Dalaguete, was really peaceful because you could see trees and other scenery. The true experience begins when you ride a habal-habal or motorcycle up to the mountain's base after the three-hour bus ride from the city.
Although the climb was somewhat difficult and tiring, the view of the mountains comforts your aching legs, and the fresh air appears to fill your lungs with energy. You'll come across people along the mountain trail who will smile warmly and sell you cold drinks like water and even softdrinks, which you'll need to make it through the nearly one-hour trek (that includes back and forth).
The mountain's summit offered a breathtaking view that extended all the way to Cebu Island's very tip. The top featured numerous unusual limestone or rock formations that make for excellent photo opportunities. Especially the island you could see it from afar and it added to the beautiful view.
Additionally, as long as you clean up your waste before leaving the mountain, you are free to make tents there and create a bonfire where you can cook, sing (best with guitar), and tell stories.
MY REVIEW
Osmeña Peak was really fantastic. It looks very much like a picture when seen, the shade, the color. You'll get a refreshing air and view stunning mountains. I adore this location. Its amazing view made me return a second time. And I must say that my experience was truly fantastic.
Come and try trekking to a hill!
