The second part of Positano!! In my last post, I wrote about the road about Positano. And now the place itself! Finally, after our long bus ride, we arrived in this fabulous city of mountains. In general, Positano is located on the Amalfi Coast. It is known for its Moorish-style architecture, and the city lies on steep slopes overlooking the Sirenuse Islands. It's just an incredible resort that you can't stop admiring. Enjoy the scenery! This is something incredible.
Hundreds of colorful houses on the slopes of the Italian mountains. Each house is a unique creation. You go down these amazing streets and just enjoy the view. Beautiful houses are everywhere here, covering almost every meter of Positano.
We started to descend, and already on the smaller half of the way, we couldn't stand it and started filming with a drone. We launch the drone in a rather unusual way. I pick it up and my sister @bugavi who drives it starts it up. Well, the reverse process is the same. No matter how scary it may seem, but when you have been doing it for a long time, then you are not afraid at all. You can watch this process in my photos taken for me by my mother @olga.maslievich. Of course, the drone itself is not very visible, because it is white, but you can try to look at it. After filming with the drone, we continued our descent to the bottom.
I was fascinated by the scenery. I enjoyed the houses that added contrast to the green mountains and the sea. The stairs that you go down do not end, and do not end. They seem limitless. We walked and walked. It was hot and hard. Positano is a very popular resort, and therefore it is very expensive to rent a hotel here. About $500. I don't know for whom, but for us it exceeds the norm. So, as horrible as it sounds, we came here for one day. That is, in the evening we had to get back on the bus. We took pictures of the wonderful scenery, and headed down as quickly as possible. And while we descend, you can listen to the legend of Positano. It may not be true, of course, but it's a great love story, and it might just boost your belief in magic a little bit. The mythical version of the origin of the city is described in a local legend. The god of the seas, Poseidon, was enchanted by the beauty of the nymph Pasithea. To impress the beauty, he decided to give her a gift - he founded a small, but incredibly beautiful town, and presented it to the nymph. The city got its name in her honor. Of course, it is very short, but beautiful.
And so, while you were reading the legend, we have already imperceptibly climbed to the bottom of this amazing city. All these details add unparalleled beauty to all my photos. And finally, the sea!! We went down to the very bottom and immediately ran to the sea, it was something wonderful, after so many steps, to swim in the water. We put on swimsuits and jumped into the water. The water was dark gray-blue. She was charming and mysterious at the same time. We bathed as if in a warm bath. Under our feet were finger-sized, gray stones. It was something fantastic. I enjoyed this bath. It was already evening, so the pebbles were not very hot. Stone walls made of rocks were orange and gray in color. It was incredible.
Later, after swimming here, we had to go upstairs to the bus. We changed back into our clothes and headed up the stairs. It was the hardest climb I've ever experienced. We were going to the top, we were incredibly hot. We were suffocating. We walked very fast because we had to catch the bus. I will never forget this climb. We were all in pain. Luckily we were able to catch the last bus and we went home happily.
Bye bye everyone! 🌄🏞️🌇🏠
