It’s been a few years since I was in Dahab and to be honest it’s changed quite a bit. When I was here 13 years ago there were a few cafes around the lighthouse and dive shops.
Now all there are restaurants and gift shops all along the front. Most are quite modern certainly Sharks and Ali Baba are superb.
But as you go over the bridge
The vibe changes a bit the buildings are older and a bit more shabby.
Interestingly there is an excavation going on around the remains an old Nabataean sea port from around the 2nd century B.C.
Next door is a derelict hotel possibly from a bit later date but you can hardly tell.
So @scubahead and @millycf1976 went a little further and then turned round to find a bar with some beer.
