Hi there. In this travel post, our travel group conclude our Hong Kong day trip and head back to Shenzhen, China by train.
This post is short compared to the other ones.
Hong Kong West Kowloon Station To Shenzhen, China
Our family friend in Hong Kong called up a taxi for us. It took around 15 minutes by taxi from our place to get to Hong Kong West Kowloon.
Getting through security and customs did take a bit of time though. I was worried at one point because it was kind of cutting it close to the train departure time. Because the 3 other people in the group were seniors all 4 of us were able to get our passport checked in the Seniors line. The Seniors line is much smaller than the regular line.
If we went through the regular line instead of the seniors line for passport checking, then I think we would have missed our train.
I did not take many pictures here but here are the ones I took at Hong Kong West Kowloon.
When it comes to train onboarding you had to scan your own passport to get through the turnstiles. In China, there is a line where an employee manually checks your passport. At Hong Kong West Kowloon railway station, you have to scan your passport at the gate yourself.
The train ride from Hong Kong back to Shenzhen did not take too long. It was around 25 minutes.
After arriving back to Shenzhen, China, our travel group head back to our hotel. More to come.
