I forgot to take a snapshot of Cocoa House from the outset before leaving😅, but I saw this model of the Cocoa house at the Odu'a Museum, located at the top of the building
I have particularly wanted to take pictures of landscapes, especially from elevated perspectives, and perhaps some drone shots. But I just don't have all the tools for that, except of course I climb up somewhere to take the pictures.
And that's what happened when I visited the Cocoa House in Ibadan.
Once the tallest building in Nigeria, it houses 26 storeys and different business ventures.
It was built from proceeds that came from Cocoa back then in the 20th century Southwestern Nigeria. It was built in 1964 and completed in 1965.
There are quite a number of things that one can see from the top of this 26-storey, but it's the view that probably makes it a but unique.
Ibadan is known as the city of brown roofs, but from this height and location, it seems different. It's a mix of brown roofs and other things. It probably shows the modern side of Ibadan.
The Cathedral of St. James The Great can be seen prominently jutting out in the distance. This monument is the seat of the Bishop of Ibadan Anglican Diocese of the Anglican Church of Ibadan.
The Kokodome restaurant and swimming pool can be seen from the top-down, just beside the Cocoa house. It's one of the oldest restaurant/nightclub locations in Ibadan,built at the same time when Cocoa House was built in 1964. It's an integral part of Cocoa house.
Office and residential spaces to the east of the Cocoa house.
This looks like an industrial warehouse/storage facility. Not really sure what those things are. What do you think?

Having a view of Ibadan from the top of Cocoa was a box I fulfillingly ticked. I guess my next stop in Ibadan should be Bower's Tower, the highest peak in Ibadan.
Watch out for that one!
