It all starts in the village of "Artur Passos" near the city of "Guadalupe", but belonging to the municipality of Jerumenha, the shortest distance between man and nature. A cool and beautiful place to spend the weekends, especially on days when it's very sunny. heat.

The island is delimited by dark rocks that contrast with the vegetation and the lighter tone of the water. These rocks appear to be of natural origin, possibly basalt or another type of geological formation common in riverine areas.

Olá pessoal! novamente aqui @dreloop07 para falar sobre algo bem diferente do que costumo trazer aqui, mais precisamente sobre um passeio sobre as aguas do Rio Parnaíba, que faz divisa entre dois estados importante aqui do nordeste "Maranhão e "Piauí".
Tudo começa no povoados "Artur passos" próximo a cidade de "Guadalupe", mas pertencente ao município de Jerumenha, a menor distância entre homem e a natureza. Um lugar bacana e bonito para passar os finais de semana, principalmente em dias que fazem muito calor.
O primeiro ponto importante a ressaltar nessa aventura é o remanso do "Surubim". No centro do rio, há uma pequena ilha ou formação rochosa emergindo da água, coberta por uma vegetação densa e variada, composta principalmente por arbustos e árvores de folhas verdes, com algumas áreas de folhagem amarelada que podem indicar a transição sazonal ou a presença de espécies específicas adaptadas ao ambiente.
Na verdade, a historia por traz formação ilha, é que foi resultado da ação humana, pois esse trajeto era bem estreito e prejudicava a navegação principalmente em período de cheia do rio. Numa imagem via satélite podemos ver isso notavelmente, essa região e preto representa a parte que foi retirada.
