We found some of the most interesting ice formations along the road. They formed ice feathers of the most intricate designs.
After spending some time in the tropics for christmas, it was time to return to the freezing temperatures of the Vermont mountains. It is a very special time of year to be here, as the winter scenes are absolutely gorgeous. Plus, there is always time to hit the slopes and do a little skiing. But you don't have to look very far to enjoy what winter has to offer here.
In fact, just walking down the road, we came across some of the most interesting ice designs I've ever seen. Instead of just snow, falling flat across the road, it formed raised ice feathers. They were incredible delicate, and incredible intricate. It is amazing to see what nature can do. They say there are no two snowflakes that are the same, and you can really understand when you look at these intricate designs.
Now I'm ready to put on some warm clothes, say goodbye to this cozy fire, and head back out into the snow again! You never know what you are going to find.
