Hinugtan White Beach Is located in Barangay Buruanga, Aklan, Philippines. From Iloilo City, we traveled for almost 6 hours to Buruanga, Aklan. I know it’s a long ride, but a paradise like this is all worth the ride. We stayed in White Sand Hinugtan Beach Resort for 2 nights and 3 days.
The view that welcomed us when we first stepped there. Our eyes were full of delight, and our mouths couldn’t fathom the words; it was just an amazing view. The good thing about this place is that it’s not as overrated as the very famous beach like “Boracay”, which is always full of people, and since it’s already overly known all over the world, the prices there are too expensive. Only a few people come to this place, and it’s cheaper. It’s not only cheap but the water, sand, and the view that it offers are ones that you can’t resist and are worth the penny.
My friends and I had a blast, it was a perfect getaway for us. It’s like we went to a retreat for days without any contact from people. This place has a very poor internet connection, data, and phone signal. For me, it’s not bad at all, even if there’s no internet, because if ever we have internet, Wi-Fi, or even data, we can’t even give time to our friends; all we have to do is just check on our phones. When we went there, we had the time to enjoy, talk for hours, laugh for hours without even minding and checking our phones. That’s the biggest realization I had when I was there, that people nowadays are very dependent and hooked up on their gadgets without even realizing because of that, they lost their precious time to spend with the people that matter, the people that they love.
With my best friend Glenda. This was the famous swing in Hinugtan. A lot of people love to take a picture on this swing, that’s why we need to take a picture with it too.
Who would not love to be in a paradise like this? I will go back to this place, and this time I would love to bring my husband and my mom. This is the best place for family and friends.
This is a small bar and restaurant in the resort. The Hinugtan Beach has a lot of place for accommodations. It was not like fancy hotels, but they are good accommodations for you to stay, rest, and sleep. Remember, this is like a virgin Island where only a few people live, and only a few tourists even know this place. These days, a lot of people online, especially on Facebook, are posting about Hinugtan Beach, so I am sure this place is going to be a new hype and a go-to beach for local and foreign tourists.
I am just thankful that God gave me the means to even come and have a little vacation with friends to a place like this. I am very grateful for all the blessings.
When it comes to food, the accommodation (White Sand Hinugtan Beach Resort) where we stayed also has a menu for you to choose from and order food from them. Outside the accommodation, some stores sell Filipino BBQ and so much more. In the picture above, that was “Halo-Halo,” one of the Philippines' famous desserts. They even sell shakes like their famous mango shakes that I love, and Island souvenirs.
I am a lover of sunsets, and Hinugtan Beach is one of the places that has the best sunset view that I have seen in my entire life. Just like I said, this place has given me time to reflect and has taught me and made me realize a lot of things. Yes, making money is important, especially now that everything is expensive, but you need to realize that spending time with the people who truly matter is also important. A sad reality for all of us to ponder, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a MEMORY.”
