Hello Hivers! Welcome to Camotes Island! π
Let us go on a trip to discover, explore, experience, and fall in love with the beauty of Camotes Island. This was a memorable experience for me because it was my first time on a long trip, something I had ever wanted to do, and it happened in Camotes Island. Camotes is one of the Philippines' most fascinating islands, as it is truly unique. It has more to enjoy with spectacular beaches, well-known natural caves, and lakes that will connect you to nature's majestic beauty.
As we went to Camotes Island, we stayed at Connis Island Paradise in Camotes. The location and surroundings are ideal because they are clean, and we were only near the sea, where we can go swim whenever we want. While we were having fun swimming with my cousins, I did not notice that night had turned up, I only realized it when it became darker, and we were still swimming at night, despite knowing that it was cold. At that time the environment is completely calm and it makes swimming an amazing experience. Together with my kuyas and cousins, we made a campfire and set up the tent on the beach. We started to enjoy a sound trip while taking a drink where we sat under the moonlight with a campfire in front of us. The males who are still drinking in the middle of the dawn are found to spend the night in the tent. My cousin and I were also playing in the sand at Connis Island, where we got our last bond picture with our auntie. We were all deeply saddened when she left this world, but she will always be remembered in our hearts. She is a person who goes with the flow and is easy to get along with, who constantly says yes when it comes to traveling and getting around. She will be truly missed and will always be remembered.
On the island, there is a wide beach called Santiago Bay Beach. Santiago Beach is a long stretch of sand on the island. It's not just any beach; this one has white sand and a lengthy shoreline. However, you can only swim with a high tide. It is good to walk as far as you like on the sand bar or play any activities you like with your pals during low tide. We went for a walk on the beach with my cousins because it was low tide at the time, and we stopped by a vendor selling souvenirs and anklets. The anklets are looking wonderful, and my companions and I are trying to find the best piece for us. This is a decent beach with crystal clear waters that isn't too crowded. Santiago bay beach is one of our favorite destinations, we even extend a night to stay our day in Santiago Beach. When we want to de-stress or take a little vacation as a family, we always head to the beach. Therefore, Santiago beach is perfect for those who want to chill on the beach and clear out their heads. Everything about this beach is wonderful and relaxing.
When I am watching the waves of the ocean in front of me, I can't help but feel at ease. There was a hut cottage where I could gaze out the view of the beach, which was particularly beautiful due to the reflection of the beach. This beach is perfect for the sea lover. The rock formations that float hugely above the ocean close to the beach are what make this beach stand out. I even think Mangodlong is a sister resort to Santiago Bay because of the crystal clear water and the environment. This resort has a pool for both adults and children, enabling another option for vacationers to swim, and my young cousins were excited when they heard there was a pool, so they went there and enjoyed it. You feel relaxed and fulfilled while you're at this beach.
The boat ride to the island was an exciting experience as a first-timer. We were welcomed by a beautiful white sand beach as soon as we arrived on the island. The white sand beach was pristine and wonderfully clean. It's very unique because there's no phone signal on the island, and people simply go to the beach to relax and enjoy. All of the places that I've seen in the Camotes Islands are amazingly beautiful, but amongst the places we've been, Tulang Diot captured my heart. If you're curious about what I like in the place, aside from the white sand and sparkling sea, it's the beach's preserved natural beauty. The scenery and experience are so breathtaking that you don't even notice the sun's heat. It's no wonder that it's called in Camotes the "Little Boracay". Unfortunately, I don't really have any shots because we were too busy swimming and relaxing while enjoying the stunning scenery. I enjoyed it a little because we were only there for a short time, so if I ever have the opportunity to visit Camotes again, this island will be the reason why. In Camotes, this is one of the places I wll never forget, and I would like to go back.
Going to the beach is indeed one of the best ways to pass the time, especially when you are with your family, cousins, and barkada (group of friends), who are also eager to travel. We were able to enjoy the sun and sand, and we also went to the famous lake and magical cave, which was both cool and fantastic experience.
Do you want to hear more about my experiences in the lake and cave? Keep an eye out for part 2 of my blog, in which I'll post pictures and tell you more about those adventures.
See you around! π
