Our Lady Of Lindogon Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines has been home to a lot of devotees both local and tourists.
We have been here countless times and we have been devotees for quite some time already. I remember when I took the Licensure Examination For Professional Teachers, we came all the way from our hometown Tabogon to offer a Visita Iglesia. Now I am a full pledged licensed professional teacher and I am a public school teacher in the Department of Education here in the Philippines.
There are just so much to be thankful about and I am more than grateful offering all my prayers and thanks to Mama Mary of Lindogon Shrine.
We came here 3 with our car as a means of transportation and it took us about four hours to arrive from Tuburan, the town where we are currently living now.
Mama Mary's Shrine at Simala Entrance
My son struck a couple of poses before he went into the shrine. As seen from his looks, he is indeed quite tired from the long travel.
When we were walking towards the signage, we heard some splashing of water. And when we looked into the right, we saw this fountain, which we did not saw the last time we was here. It was another new feature they added into the shrine.
It really feels relaxing hearing the splashing waters of the fountain while saying your prayer. The fountain is located in the right part just near the entrance.
I ❤️ MAMA MARY SIGNAGE
Located in the middle of the entrance part, you will see this I ❤️ MAMA MARY signage that will give you a picturisque background of the shrine at the back.
The shrine is indeed massive and looks like a castle. Mama Mary's Kingdom indeed.
This is the way going towards the inside of the church and shrine and there is indeed a lot of people.
We went here on a Sunday and we were so happy we still got the chance to attend the 9:00 am mass. The church was flocked by a lot of massgoers.
MAMA MARY OF SIMALA
This is inside the church, meanwhile there is a bigger one at the back but we did not go there because the line was quite so long. We just participated in the mass, and we bought some candles and said our prayers.
OUR LADY OF LINDOGON CANDLE LIGHTING AREA
We bought candles for ₱40.00 each and then we lit it on the candle lighting area as we offered our prayers.
A visit to the Mama Mary of Lindogon Shrine in Simala,Cebu,Philippines is indeed incomplete without buying their colorful candles that had individual meanings.
After we lit our candles, we went to the exit and headed our way home. We found a spot which showcase the entire shrine. Look at the photos.
Indeed the shrine looks like a castle and it is Mama Mary's entire kingdom. Up until now, they are still beautifying the place and still doing a lot of improvements.
Even though the shrine is quite far, it is still visited by a lot of devotees because of the miraculous Mama Mary.
Before we went to the parking area to get to our car, we went to the comfort room. We have to pay ₱20.00 each and it is fully airconditioned.
For your ₱20.00, you get free tissues and alcohol after bathroom usage. It is clean and comfortable indeed.
