Hello Friends in this post I am going to tell you about my experience visiting the world famous town of Alberobello for the first time.
This particular place is located in the region of Puglia in Italy and I was able to see it for the first time as I spent a few days holidaying nearby.
This town is famous for the trulli these particular constructions made of stone cones.
The town of Alberobello is located between the towns of Locorontondo and Putignano practically halfway along the state road 172.
I visited this place in the evening, when the sun was about to set, because the temperatures during the day were too high, but I must say that even in the evening it has its charm and I remind you that Alberobello has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for several years.
There is a chance to visit these strange dwellings, because in fact many have been turned into museums and most have become souvenir shops. Of course, in the evenings only those where shops have been set up are open, but they are divided into various quarters and the most famous one would be the sovereign trullo where you pay the entrance fee and where you can see how this traditional dwelling is set up inside.
Of course, having been accompanied by female company I had to stop several times between the various souvenir shops and I must say that they are also very special because inside you also find local handicrafts.
It takes about an hour or so to get around the town of Alberobello, you can even sleep inside some trulli, because I have seen some of them listed on the airbnb website, and the price can range from €80-452 in the low season to €200 in the high season.
The streets of the village in the evening are full of people, as you can see from the pictures, many people come here to take a stroll and maybe buy something to take home from the summer holidays. I find it a beautiful way to revive these places and maybe even to help the local craftsmen directly.
There's even a church inside a trullo I think it's really unique.
Since it was after c and I was still a little hungry, I took the opportunity to taste the "pasticciotto", which is the typical Apulian dessert that is composed of a short pastry with a custard inside and then it is practically baked in the oven, but in recent years this recipe has been a little revisited, and is made in various flavours, I took one practically hazelnut because it is closer to the taste of nutella.
The price of a pasticciotto is €1.70 and from my point of view it is not an expensive price.
Thank you for reading the post up to this point I hope you found it useful however in the end mine was a positive experience in this place because it is really quaint and for someone coming from abroad and absolutely must visit.
