" Unexpected Discovery "
Hello Hivers, welcome to my #LakwatsaniIntoy Diary 041 | Exploring Villa Alicia Beach and Resort in Daram Samar, Philippines. How are you guys, hoping you have a good day today. For today's blog, we will explore again and discover a hidden paradise in Samar Island Philippines. Let's Goooo !!!
Last November 2022 when I went home to my province in Samar, I got a chance to explore and roam around the oceans in our nearby municipality (a pirate wanna-be 😅 ), And reach Villa Alicia Beach and Resort. I was invited by one of our uncles for his birthday which will be celebrated on this beach.
Villa Alicia Beach and Resort
This beach resort is located in Daram Samar, Philippines. It is one of the nearby municipalities in our place but to tell you It's my first time visiting its vicinity. The beach is a private destination owned by the Donaire Family a local resident of Daram Samar. They developed their place into a Tourist destination that Families and Travelers may explore.
The resort is so spacious, It has a lot of cottages for rent in the bay front (Price range of rent depends on the size of cottages), They have an entrance fee of 0.35$ per head. They also had a videoke area where all visitors can sing their favorite songs.
The beach is not so pristine but It is already perfect for your family to Dive, swim, and sunbathe. It is also a nice place for Team Building activities. They also had a big slide on the beach that is directed toward the Ocean. It is one of the centers of the activity of the beach where not only children can enjoy sliding but also adults (The adult that thinks as a child and I'm one of those😅).
Aside from the slide, there are parts of the resort where you will be refreshed and amazed by the Overlooking View. They have a mini Garden inside (My aunties love this part), where visitors are allowed to roam. You will see plants that you never expect to see on an Island, they also have an orchidarium where you can set with and relax with its amazing look.
Unexpected Discovery
Who will expect that on this Island and beach resort, they have a plantation of Dragon Fruit? A treehouse at the top of the mountain? And A mini Forest? These are those unexpected discoveries we found with my cousin and family when we roam around the resort. But on this side it is not for free (As per one of the attendants we ask), you need to pay 0.5 dollars per head for the entrance fee to experience it ( yes guys another Entrance fee). The attendant told us that the view in the tree house is mesmerizing, you will see the overlooking view of the resort and the ocean, she also told us that onward from the tree house there is a mini forest where we can explore also.
The attendant successfully convinces us (Good advertiser). After paying the entrance fee, we start hiking on the narrow stairs beside the plantation of the Dragon Fruit. The plantation is not too wide but It is a perfect season that time that you can Harvest the Dragon fruit. All you need is to pay 4$ per kilogram for you to pick it up from its tree. ( Don’t think of picking it up without paying, 'cause I also think that 😅).
On the Top of the plantation, you will see already the beautiful tree house, and at the end of the stairs, you will also saw already a glimpse view of the ocean. So it's making me more excited to climb up to see the total overlooking view of the sea.
The Treehouse
This beautiful scenery is indeed satisfying, Discovering this kind of View is unforgettable, you will see the calmness of the ocean and hear the strong wind on the mountain, You will surely relax or maybe sleep in this Treehouse. Behind this Treehouse, you will see this mini Forest. Where you can do Camping or install hammocks on the Trees. It's not too wide but I was amazed at how they developed the resort without sacrificing the Environment.
By the way, they also have guests whom tourists can stay overnight. As per the attendant, the night on the resort is so lively and the lights around the resort make the place more beautiful. If you plan to visit you can inquire on their Facebook account and they will feedback soon.
How to Reach Villa Alicia Beach and Resort
Villa Alicia is located on the Island of Daram Samar, Philippines. if you plan to visit the beach resort, the fastest way is from the Pier of Villareal Samar. it will only take you an hour to ride a Small boat going to the Daram. The transportation cost varies if you rent them for the whole day or for one way of Transportation only. Just negotiate with them wisely. You can visit this Villa Alicia Page for your guidance.
