In this travel, we experienced this kind of feeling, a travel that is full of excitement and wonder 😍.
Heyaaah Hiveeers !!! Welcome to my #LakwatsaniIntoy Diary 009 | Goosebumps Experience in the Highest Summit of Cebu Island, "Osmeña Peak" Dalaguete, Cebu Philippines. My first travel in Cebu that gives me goosebumps due to its astonishing view 😍.
This travel experienced is the reason why I keep roaming around the Island of Cebu. It gives me excitement to discover another magical place like Osmeña Peak.
This adventure happened 2 years ago May 11, 2019. I'm just new in Cebu for my work that time and I didn't have any idea yet about this place.
My classmate before in college Nikki, who is in Cebu for four years, invited me in this travel. Together with us is Angel rose, friend of my two other classmates Darlene and Megan, who also in Cebu and recently passed their Civil Engineer board exam that time.
Yes, this travel is kind of celebration of this two beautiful ladies achievement and since it's travel I can't say no, because aside from work one of the reason's I'm in Cebu is also to explore this amazing island.(Even I know I will become a bodyguard and caretaker of the belongings of these ladies.. 😂🤣 kidding).
I searched up to know about the Osmeña Peak. Also to give us an idea what should we prepare and give us guidance where should we go since it is our first time to be in this place. This is what I learned about.
About Osmeña Peak
Osmeña Peak is the highest summit of the Island of Cebu. Standing 1,013 meters from the sea level. This Peak is one of the well known tourist destinations of Cebu. The mountain rock formation and beautiful capped hills make it magical and captured the heart of travelers.
The highest peak is located in Barangay Mantalongon, in the Municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu. But this peak is part of Patung, Badian Mountain Range.
The place is also known as " Vegetable Basket of Cebu " or " little Baguio " because of the huge amount of vegetable farm in this area. Like Cabbages, Carrots, lettuce and more even strawberry farm, you will find in this place.
How to Reach Osmeña Peak
From the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City, we ride a bus going to Oslob or Bato and we asked the Driver to drop us at Dalaguete Junction. The travel is approximately 3 hours from Cebu City and it cost us ₱ 150 each for the bus fare.
Then from the junction we hired a "Habal-Habal" or motorcycle going to the jump-off point for 40 mins and it cost us ₱ 120 fare for the trip. (the motorcycle can accommodate two passengers, so you will share the fare in every trip)
Afterwards, we follow the stone path leading to the registration office (Tourism Office of Dalaguete) . We need to pay for the environmental fee of ₱ 30 each before starting our trek adventure to Osmeña Peak.
We reached at Tourism Office late from our target time, it's dawn already and the surrounding is starting to get dark. We speed up our trekking so on our way, we will not reach by the dark.
We are grateful that the way to climb up is not that hard as we expect, as a first timer. The Osmeña Peak is not too far from the tourism office, it's 20 minutes away from it and just in time we finished setting up our tents before it's totally dark.
Yes! We did a camping in the Highest Summit of Cebu Island. But unfortunately we missed out the beautiful sunset we dreamed of in Osmeña Peak.

We still enjoyed the night 😊. Camping in the mountain with your friends is cool.
After the dinner, we open a beer to bet the cold climate in the area. Talking to each other without gadget (saving the battery😂) with matching beer at the top of the peak and staring the stars in the sky is an unforgettable moment 🤗.
We slept at early time because the surroundings are getting cooler. And we don't want to miss again the sunrise for this time.
As we wake up in the morning, we climb up into the Highest part of the mountain to welcome this amazing sunrise from the Eastern side of the Peak. And this is worth it. Looked at the beautiful scenery given by the sunrise.
We stayed in at the Highest point of the peak for two hours to feel the stunning view offer by Osmeña Peak. We are so amazed and didn't believe that this is the view we seen by our eyes. It is magical and feel like we are in the other dimension of the world.
After 2 hours we back in our tent take our breakfast. There we meet the dog we named Snow 🐶. We let him stay in our area and join us our breakfast. Having a breakfast with this picturesque view is awesome 🤗.
Before heading home, we climb up again at the highest point to take our last photos on this magical View of Osmeña Peak.
Reminder: If you want to visit the Osmeña Peak, Make sure to bring food, water, flashlight, protection from cold and power bank for your phones. And always be a responsible lakwatsero! 😉
