Hello, my dear Hivers!
So, this blog is basically part 2 of my previous one, where I’ll be highlighting the moment we were already preparing the food with my circle of friends.
When we have arrived at the place, the staff were really welcoming. I also happened to bring carbonara, so I asked the staff in charge if there was a charge for bringing in outside food. She told me there wasn’t, but if we had brought alcoholic drinks, then there would be a fee. We were really relieved to hear that, at least we saved some money. At first, we thought there would be extra charges since the place looked a bit pricey, and we expected we might end up spending quite a lot.
The entrance fee was ₱60 per head. I must say, there were only six of us who could initially make it to this outing, the other two still mopping their errands. Thus, when we paid for entrance, our count was six. And then all of us were handed wristbands with warnings to not take them off while being there. We all nodded in agreement.
Beside the area where we settled, I saw a stand selling ice cream. I told myself, “I’m definitely getting one later. It’s perfect for this kind of weather, especially since we’re by the beach.”
Also, their logo was really aesthetic and shiny.
Anyway, aside from the entrance fee, we had already paid ₱500 for a table and chairs good for eight people, and we used our group savings for that. Afterward, we immediately looked for a shaded spot. Luckily, we found one right away, and the place wasn’t crowded at all, probably because it's a school day.
Once we settled, we started setting the food on the table, and also brought out the marinated pork for grilling.
Since Johan was in charge of all grilling, Lavester volunteered to accompany him for some company. This pork was so marinated the day before being kept in the refrigerator.
Katrien brought a box, and I was curious about it. But when I asked if anyone brought plastic cups, Katrien replied that they were in the box, along with paper plates and other stuff. So I opened it and took everything out. That’s also when I realized that we had a lot of soft drinks, well, everyone except Angelie and me are really into soda.
Anyway, here is the view from our table. right after we have arrived, I just couldn't help but say, "Wow, the beach is so beautiful! Clear water, clean sand, and the waves look so pleasant!" I’m definitely swimming later.”
Katrien also brought a tent, and we helped set it up so we had a place to store our bags and chill or even lie down inside.
After we set it up, I took a 0.5 cam shot, because I was just so happy, especially with that amazing view. You can really read it all on my face and smile, I think I was genuinely happy.
What I loved about this trip was that there was so much food, everyone was glad they had started saving early. Plus, the place itself is a big bonus. Paradizzo Beach Resort is honestly one of the best beaches I’ve been to. The place is so nice and very well maintained in terms of cleanliness. The staff were also very accommodating.
Oh, and there were also seats facing the sea, perfect for sunbathing or if you want to get a nice tan line.
A few minutes later, a staff member approached us and said that there was actually a ₱400 fee for using the tent. Since we only found out about it then and didn’t include it in our budget, we decided to just chip in ₱50 each. It was perfect since there were eight of us. And because our two friends hadn’t arrived yet, I covered for them first. by the way, I paid it off as soon as I got the complete amount.
When the minutes passed, we felt a little hunger creeping inside. But that was not a problem because we decided first to slice a watermelon so we had something to munch on. And it was perfect, the watermelon was beautiful, the taste? So juicy and sweet! You’d really feel refreshed and hydrated after eating it.
And my dear Hivers, that’s where I’ll end my blog for today. See you in the next one!
Thanks a lot for reading!
