Hello, my dear hivers!
This is basically a continuation of my previous blog.
In that last blog, I mentioned that two of our friends hadn’t arrived yet, and we were still in the middle of preparing the food.
Now in this blog, our two friends finally arrived! Lesly brought lumpia since she was assigned to cook it. Earlier that day, we actually discussed whether Lesly should cook it in advance or if Angelie should bring a gas stove so we could cook it at the beach for a crispier result. In the end, we decided that Lesly would just cook it ahead of time so Angelie wouldn’t have to carry a stove anymore. That way, there would be less to do once we got to the beach, especially since we still had pork to grill.
Johan and Lavester were the ones grilling the pork, and Micabalo (Lesly’s companion) joined them when they arrived at the beach. While the three of them were busy grilling, we were slicing ingredients for the sauces. We made two types, one for the pork and one for the scallops. The scallops we bought were just steamed, so it was better to eat them with sauce. We forgot to bring a proper serving plate, so we just used extra plastic cups instead.
After slicing, I went to the tent to look for my things and while I was there, I took some 0.5 shots. The view of the beach was super aesthetic, just the way I like it.
While waiting for the grilled pork to finish, I took more 0.5 shots with my girl friends. I took quite a lot, honestly, because Keziah kept saying “Wait, wait!” while looking for her shades. If you look at the first photo, she’s bent over because she was just about to put her shades on.
Since I was in the mood and feeling the vibe, I also took some solo photos. This time I realized how nice it is to take 0.5 shots under the sun. And that's why I sat on the chair in front of the shore while Angelie clicked my pictures.
Some hours later, 12 noon came, and we were really hungry.
On my way there, I noticed how nice the place was. Turns out, they have rooms for rent here. The path was filled with tropical vibes, especially with all the leafy plants around. There were statues even along the way, plus, you get to see the ocean really well, which helps to check if it's high tide or low tide.
Here are some photos of the views!
Minutes later, I reached the grilling area and saw there was still a lot of pork to grill. So I took the initiative to help slice the pork. Luckily, there was a faucet nearby, which was super convenient, and even better, all the faucets were actually working!
After washing my hands, I started slicing the pork. But over time, the heat became too much for me, so I asked if I could grab a fork from our table. Before leaving though, I snuck in a small bite, and wow, it was so juicy! With the length of marination, pork was marinated excellently, and so it really helped with flavor.
Marination was just perfect, and the marinated pork had been so for quite a long time, which was great help for flavor.
Minutes later, we sliced everything.
We then went to our table to nicely arrange the food, said our prayer, and dug in. Honestly, this is truly worth saving for these trips because your stomach will be a new friend. Swimming in the ocean feels even better when you have a table full of delicious food waiting for you, because let’s be real, after a dip in the sea, we all get super hungry!
And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear hivers!
Thank you for reading!
