Today's blog is about a place nested in lap of Himalayas where you will see nature at its best along with the paranomic view.
Welcome to village Shili
As soon as you enter this place you'll see tall green trees welcoming you with the freshness and crisp of the air. Situated near Kada Pathar at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh this place is much visit and best for artists and travel enthusiast.From this point onwards there is no road, not much civilization and you will rarely spot any human being around. It's named Giri Ganga after the river which flows through here adding to the beauty of this place.
Cause of the global warming, pollution and green house effect the weather conditions of the place is deeply affected and I was amazed to see how the water in the river has depleted and the there was no snow at all in the hill top. Usually until November and December this place is drenched in the snow but this year it's different. I couldn't have imagined that in my thoughts. If the trend continues, God knows what will happen in future.
Moving forward I saw lots of red flag in the area and this is what I came to know. * Red colour has a spiritual significance and it is believed that it protects the visitors as well as the temple from all the negativity and evil eye. It provides the strength and protects you.
Basically this area is under a remote village called Shili and here's a board specifically saying that " You are not allowed whithin this area if you are drunk and for a long life clean environmental and pure air is required so please maintain ". It feels so good to know how much people of this area are connected to nature and how much they care.
Cause of the modernization you will rarely spot such stairs anywhere. People use to make such stairs using the material easily available such as the stone and the sand and they even last longer.
Soon we spotted a temple after walking for a while and this temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. Well it's not documented how old the temple is and every one tells you a different story. But form centuries this temple is situated here and people have never ever stopped worshipping the Lord Shiva. With time number of changes have been made in and outside the temple and now it's a famous tourist places point attracting lots of people where it's believed that your every wish come true if you are a pure human being by heart.
The area has stated to develop and you can see that the people of this area has started to establish their business. Well construction is not an easy task here in the Himalayas, between the lap and nature as the road are deadly and they rarely connect your place.
As mentioned earlier, the red colour hold spiritual significance and literary as you walk here you can feel it in your heart. The calmness, the peace this place offers is incomparable.
A bridge was constructed here years back cause the heavy stream of water has made it different for people to cross it. Now you can see the condition. Literally the water level has dropped to the max and the area around has stated to dry.
Finally reached a big open ground which offers the paranomic view of the hills around.
The beauty and calmness this place hold is literally something else. It's beauty is famous among tourists and that's why this place is in wishlist of every traveller.
Here comes the final stairs that will lead you directly towards the temple. A temple which is dedicated to lord Shiva and situated at the altitude of 2400 meter from the sea level. During shivratri which means "a night dedicated to lord Shiva" people visit this temple office puja and celebrate it with joy and laughter.
