A Pretty Glimpse Of Tsim Sha Tsui Harbor (#FamilyVacation Day 1)

I witnessed the materialization of my dream and was deeply grateful. After my family arrived in Hong Kong, I allowed them to relax for several hours. The next day, we went on a tour to some of Hong Kong's most recognizable landmarks. We had been sleeping all morning and it was already afternoon. We hadn't gotten enough sleep, even before my family arrived. I had many plans in mind. However, because our hotel is located relatively far from tourist attractions, we were unable to visit many places in a single day. So, on their first day, I considered visiting Hong Kong's popular city — Tsim Sha Tsui. Its harbor provides guests with an enjoyable experience and beautiful attractions. Although there are many more attractions around TST, we only stayed at the harbor owing to time constraints. Moreover, because we have a kid, we are unable to do or go as we like. The first thing we spotted as we arrived by the TST harbor was this giant cruise ship. It was a beautiful sight in this area. We went to eat our late lunch after that.

My naughty niece before her tantrums got triggered. She was happily running along the platform. She's always excited about being in a wider space as she can run around. Her guardians run around as well, lol.

As we went out of McDonald's where we ate our late lunch, the little kid spotted this iconic Hong Kong ice cream truck. She loves ice cream and she can't leave a place without getting one. Her tantrums were triggered since the queue was quite long, and people in the line were inconsiderate to the kid. Thus, we couldn't buy ice cream right away. You can watch her short video here. Her mom picked her up. We thought of a way to divert her attention and stop her from crying. Although we can queue and buy her a cone of ice cream, we can't let her eat more as she was done eating McDonald's ice cream beforehand. Such a spoiled kid.

I asked her mother to walk to the promenade, where she could see the sea, sailing ferries, and boats. She enjoys seeing and riding on boats. The view made her stop crying. It prevented us from having to wait in a long line just to get ice cream.

Then she saw a real pirate-like boat. She kept on calling it.

There are a lot of beautiful high-rise buildings and pretty architecture in Tsim Sha Tsui. It's a perfect place to stroll on weekends under the bright sun.

We planned to stay by the harbor until the night so I could show them the Symphony of Lights. The time appeared to fly by too quickly. We wanted to see many more places, but we couldn't because we had a child who took up much of our time. The view may have been brighter, but it was already 7 in the evening. This is the typical view in Hong Kong during the summer.

But in this photo, you can see the heavy rain coming from the opposite side of the harbor. We abruptly looked for a place to stay before the rain fell. But we got caught in the middle. Gladly, the kid didn't catch a cold after that day.

We ran to toward the K11 Musea, the world's first art mall. We stayed there until the rain receded, and hoped for it to stop before the evening show started. The kid looked too excited when she entered the K11 Atrium. She immediately ran around when we put her down.

Tired of running around, we looked for a place to stay for a while and we found this spot. The displayed statues became her temporary playing ground. She kept sliding down the butt of this statue. She thought it was a slide, lol.

She looked happy, but she vomited beforehand, lol. That usually happens if she keeps playing after drinking milk.

At eight in the evening, the rain had already stopped. We came out to see the Symphony of Lights. It was already starting when we left the mall. We were fairly distant from the ideal spot to watch the show, therefore, we couldn't hear the sounds very clearly. It was less exciting.

And look who we met. My friend, Rachelle, came to see us. The two look alike, aren't day? The same body and smile, haha. Surprisingly, they have the same birthday. So we joked that she's her long-lost child, lol. My friend became fond of her right away.

This was our last destination. Too bad that they weren't able to watch the Symphony of Lights well. I thought of coming back the next day, but we hadn't had a chance.

And she was knocked out, lol. Tired from walking and running.
