Hello to my #worldmappin community. I hope you are all doing well. I am also doing pretty well. In today's travel blog, I am exploring the majestic beauty of salt mountains located near the Indus River. This salt range is full of pink salt, crystal, and other kinds of salt. We call it the Kalabagh salt range. The Kalabagh is a beautiful town located in the district of Mianwali province, Punjab, Pakistan.
In today's blog, I will share my journey toward these beautiful mountains. I got up a bit late in the morning. I had my breakfast and departed towards the famous town of our area. It is called Kalabagh. The whole Pakistani nation is aware of this town because the Kalbagh dam was to be built here in Kalabagh, but unfortunately, it couldn't built. Tourists from all over the world come here to visit the beauty of the natural scenes of Kalabagh.
I, along with my friend Anaytullah Khan, reached Kalabagh at about 11:30 am. First of all, we went to visit a guest house. It is called Highway Guest House. It is located on the bank of the Indus River.
There was complete silence. The only voice that we can hear there is the voice of birds chirping. The shadowy trees were giving a splendid view. A cool breeze was blowing. The fragrance of roses was spread everywhere. I saw people traveling by boat. I took some random pictures there.
Then I moved towards a holy place. The graves of Ashab e Rasool SAWW were in the middle of Kalabagh Bazar. I visited this sacred place and prayed for our well-being. There were three graves of holy Ashab e Rasool SAWW. It was quite calm there.
After visiting the holy graves of Ashaab, I went to a sweet shop where I ordered our traditional sweet dish which is called "Kalabgh wala Halwa". It's a famous dish in our area. We eat this dish along with tea.
After visiting this sweet shop of Uncle Nazeer, I went through the bazaar of Kalabagh. I saw a man who was cooking liver Curry 🍛. It is also a delicious dish in our area. I stopped at a local hotel called the Afghan Hotel and took the green tea.
Now the adventure of this wonderful journey has been started. We travelled towards the salt range located near the Indus river. We were exploring the majestic natural beauty of these beautiful mountains. The indus river was almost surrounded by the mountains. The labour was busy in digging the mountains and trying to get the raw material of pink salt. Pink salt is in abundance in these mountains. Pakistan export this salt all over the world 🌎. The view of indus river from the height of these mountains was looking awesome. People were traveling by the boats.
We came across some salt mines. We couldn't see the labour there. I couldn't understand why these mines were closed. May be because of afternoon.
On the way, I saw two huge salt mountains. There was a big gap between these mountains. I climbed bit at the mountain. The cool breeze was blowing. We were very close to nature. These rocks were treat to watch. I took some random pictures there.
These mountains are full of pink salt and crystal. The labour gets hundred tons of salt on daily basis from these salt mines. Our district Mianwali is full of minerals. We were at about 50 feet height from the ground level. We took some pics from the distance.
We enjoyed this tour a lot with my frineds Anaytullah Khan and Shahid Nawaz Khan. I captured some memorable clicks. I hope you will like this post. Thank you so much for stopping. Have a great day.
