Just imagine you're still at the foot of Mt. Malindang, yet it's already 1,000 feet above sea level; that's quite high already. Mount Malindang is majestic and ecologically rich, with mountain ranges featuring a 7,887-foot-high peak.
Imagine the misty fog, cold wind, and a good view of Mount Malindang. A perfect place to find serenity and peace.
Going back to Asenso Global Gardens, asenso is a common Filipino word which means progress, development, or improvement. This word is used as a theme and is named after this global garden to emphasize the remarkable progress of Misamis Occidental, not only in tourism but in all aspects of improvement.
The open-air amphitheater and its unique ceiling showcase fine and complex art. This ceiling looks elegant and adorable.
Perched atop the highlands of Tangub City, Asenso Global Gardens captures breathtaking views of the sunrise, the overlooking view of Panguil Bay, often emerging from fog, and cool, mountain air, including the misty experience above the clouds.
A horse figure stands at one side of the amphitheater, made of driftwood. This looks stunning and very crafty.
Pathways lead you to themed landscapes, French, Korean, Italian, Japanese, and more, which others call the Gardens of the World. A Global Cafe, food court, reflection pools, wellness spaces, and an amphitheater can be found in this 191-hectare garden.
The stairway looks shorter, but in reality, it is a thousand steps, which is very steep. This stairway leads to an Italian Dome, and a hundred more steps will lead you to the Love Heart Nest.
It had its soft Opening last February 14, 2023, led by the governor himself, Henry Oaminal, whose main goal is to boost tourism, create jobs, and attract investments in the province.
These photos were not drone shots! These were taken from the stairway going up to the Italian Dome. The view above was breathtaking; it felt like you were near heaven, above the clouds.
AGG is located roughly 16 km from Tangub City proper—about a 25‑minute drive going up to the foot of Mount Malindang. Experience the thrill of winding roads, overlooking views, and be ready to meet the foggy mist. AGG opens daily from 6 am–6 pm, with an entrance fee of ₱200 that covers access to all garden zones..
This is the Glass View Deck where you can have the best view of Panguil Bay and Panguil Bay Bridge, the river below which we didn't see because of the fog, but we heard the rushing water below.
I will give you some visiting tips if you wish to visit Asenso Global Gardens. First, don't forget to bring a light jacket or sweater—the mountain altitude can get chilly or foggy. It is best to visit AGG during clear mornings or late afternoons for great photo opportunities and cooler weather. Arrive with a private vehicle (e.g., car or rented van) for comfort. Motorcycles are limited and are screened at the stop before going up to the foot of Mount Malindang for safety purposes.
