Warwick, RI is a suburb of Providence. Rocky Point used to be a major amusement park, since it's closure it has become a state park and the grounds are beautiful. I don't know how they ever expected to charge everyone for visiting the amusement park when it's surrounded by a beach.
I visited Conimicut Point Park the same day as Rocky Point. They're not far from each other. This picture is looking back from the sand bar that reaches out where the Providence River empties into Narragansett Bay.
You can't see it great in this picture, but the the waves are going in one direction on the right side of that sand bar and another direction on the other side. It was very interesting to see and you can just barely see the Conimicut Lighthouse out past that sand bar.
Being a suburb Warwick is generally overshadowed by Providence and by nearby Newport, but it's another beautiful area. I loved both of these parks and there was a bagel place in Warwick that I kept going back to for Pina Colada smoothies and Salmon BLT sandwiches. It's called Bagel Express & Deli in the Village.
