A wondrous day everyone!
Discovering new things every weekend satisfies our senses and eases our whole being. Either way, we're benefited due to its positive impact as we explored different places. As for me, I have been experiencing stress since a few days ago and the only activity I could think of is hiking. This makes me recharge by reconnecting to nature once again. I missed the morning sweat and the rising of the king sun.
From my previous blog about Lapos-Lapos Cave and Dose Kwartos Cave has been an astonishing experience. Now, the third and last cave we have visited, and an unexpected one was PATAG CAVE.
When we went to Lapos-Lapos Cave, the kids took us to this cave. At first, we doubted entering this small opening of the cave. It's dark and we need a flashlight to illuminate the inside. The kids and Sir Mark Kim got in first, then we followed.
This tiny hole serves as the entrance to the majestic cave. Piled of stones seemingly arranged to be a path all the way to a naturalistic formation of stalactites.
We can't believe our eyes have seen it! Our hearts leap for a moment as we have witnessed one of the wonders of Tabogon. Despite its darkness, a light coming from above seems like we have seen this from a movie. OMG! The smiles and feelings we had were priceless!
As I observed the cave, I think it was also blasted by suspicious people who only think of themselves. They get those crystal-like gems that have been in this cave for years. It took many years to form such a genuine and precious jewel. The municipality has to take legal action to this in order to protect the natural creations from this place.
Another thing, it also has running water from where the kids at, they wanted to go down but our decision was tight, so we stayed on a high level where it's enough to see the best view. Some say, that the water coming from the cave heals sick people. Well, in my case you're healed because you believe you will be healed and that faith in you has a positive impact on your body.
We can't contain the happiness we have in our hearts and the only word we had uttered was WOW! We were mesmerized by what we had seen. All though we're exhausted from following those trails and tricky paths seeing these underground gems has just paid off.
From up above, there's a hole in which we can also view it there. Actually, the word patag means plain so up there, is plain and you cannot tell that it's a cave since it's all plain and no signage or a note that it's a cave. It was then discovered by the explorers who took all the gems. Now, only a few remain. Take a look at those peculiar and sharp formations of stalactites, it's creepy yet wonderful to see! This is so different from the caves we have unearthed.
As I reviewed my photos, I managed to zoom in thinking it was running water. Oh, it's tiny crystals glittered the whole area. Trust me, we didn't touch its area and the moist since it's a big NO NO and where possibly end the life of the living cave. As explorers, we have to respect the rules in every place we take and follow them wholeheartedly.
It is prevalent in a cave where we see bats and their nests. It's their home since it's a dark, and quiet place. Despite its scary look, they must have a usable character in our ecosystem. I wonder how they were able to achieve this kind of hole to put their nest.
There were a lot of rock formations we found in this cave. Not to mention it's rare emergence. I only see this on TV and now with my very own eyes, I was able to stumble on an imaginative and hard-to-tell encounter. This exhilarating experience gives us life lessons as well as goodness to ourselves.
As we left the place and went back to our home, I realized how far we had gone and how weary we were but none of us surrendered and that's life! We should not give up as long as there's a beam of light that motivates us to keep going, and then go. Moreover, we should keep ourselves packed with food where there's a readiness in every path we go. We don't know what will happen next so just be ready at all times. Lastly, check your hike buddies in which in return they will check on you too. The bond we had together with my friends goes to a higher level wherein we're like siblings. This should not be possible without each other's support.
We had a lot of fun making discovery every weekend (if possible) and the feeling was mutual when we found another discovery. All for smile for a great discovery today and double thumps up for the best experience.
That's all for today Hivers. Have a wondrous day everyone!
