Have a Good Friday, my fellow readers. Today is Good Friday, but yesterday was Maundy Thursday. For today's blog, I want to discuss my adventure to one of the beautiful places here in Carcar, which is Camari Hills. Together with my friends, we went there yesterday, and we were amazed by what we saw.
For a little detail, Camari Hills is a place where people who believe in God can come together to worship. They have a special ceremony every first and last Sunday of the month. Also, during Holy Week, there's something called via crusis or Stations of the Cross, where people walk and think about their mistakes and their relationship with God.
Before Thursday, I chatted with my friend about visiting Camari Hills since Holy Week was starting, and it was a chance for us to repent for our sins. Thursday morning, I chatted with my friend again to confirm that our trip to Camari Hills would push through. He replied that we would go at 4 pm in the afternoon because it was too hot between 1 pm and 3 pm. Additionally, he suggested that I bring food in case we got hungry, so we decided to buy chicharon, junk food, and water.

Around 3:42 pm, I left to buy chicharon, and after purchasing it, I needed to buy water too. However, the place where I planned to buy water was a bit far, so I decided to just buy it at 7 Eleven. After buying it, I messaged my friend again that I was already on my way since the route to their house was the same route to Camari Hills.
When I arrived, my friend wasn't there yet. After a few minutes, luckily my friend arrived because there's really no signal in their barangay since they're quite far from the city. Afterward, we didn't leave immediately because we were waiting for someone else. My friend said, "Let's wait for Caryl Ann." I got confused because I didn't know who that was, so I asked if it was a girl. He said no. Then he added, "Kim's ex." I was surprised. Who is this tomboy? But I just ignored it.

After several minutes passed and the person still hadn't arrived, my friend and I decided to go to the elementary school up ahead because there's a signal there. Other drivers said there was a checkpoint, so we thought maybe this guy wasn't coming yet. We waited until the checkpoint was finished, but after a few minutes, the guy arrived. However, I still didn't recognize him, and in my mind, I thought he might be a tomboy because of his masculine appearance.

While we were traveling, the day was really beautiful because you could see the clouds and feel the sunlight. As we got closer, I could already see Camari Hills. When we arrived, I suddenly laughed because I realized that the person was actually a guy, but his name sounded like a girl's. It was funny, and he shared with us his experience. He joined a group of Aerox riders, and when he was added to the group chat, he said a lot of guys welcomed him, and someone even said, "Welcome, ma'am Caryl Ann." He found it hilarious because they mistook him for a girl.

Camari Hills
And now we've arrived at Camari Hills. It's really beautiful here. It feels like all my problems and stress from schoolwork disappeared when I got here. At the entrance, you can see a statue of Mama Mary inside glass, and you can also see The God our Father and statue here.

After exploring the entrance area, we decided to take a break and eat because we were already hungry. We had such a great time chatting and didn't realize it was almost 6 pm. So, we decided to buy some coconut juice since there was a vendor selling it there. As it was nearing 6 pm, we enjoyed the beautiful view of the sunset. It was truly stunning, and not only could you see it, but you could also feel the refreshing breeze. Afterward, we went home.

I am really happy that I experienced something like this, even if it was just for a short time. Our trip to Camari Hills was worth it because it truly relieved my stress from schoolwork. Although the stress has returned now, at least I was happy during my journey to Camari Hills.
I know it's not easy being a student, but I think it's even harder to be a parent. That's why my desire to finish my studies is also dedicated to my parents because they have done everything for me since I was a child until now. I hope to repay them for all the hardships they've faced just to provide us education.
Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you learned something from it. And Happy Good Friday to all of you.
