Our vacation in Oia , Santorini , Greece even though was a little while back still sticks in my mind as one of the best traveling highlights in my life. Santorini island is situated on the Mediterranean Sea to me it is one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited we stayed in Oia which is on the northern part of Santorini that overlooks the famous caldera and Oia was a very stunning picturesque town.
We stayed in the Canaves Oia Hotel one of the most elegant hotels we’ve ever been to but not the least bit posh which was very comforting and came with the most breathtaking views we felt like we were on top of the world watching the endless sunsets.
The seascape around the island walking along the trails were just to hard to describe in words not even the photos does it justice you simply got to see this place for yourself to see how astounding it is and the clear turquoise waters you could see the tiniest fish swimming around i kept stopping on my walk just to take it all in.
Walking around the town of Oia you will find the people are very friendly the little restaurant bars and cafe shops all built facing the most spectacular views while having lunch and a cold beer. Some of the bars are built around the mountain within the volcanic caves where you can sit and watch the sun set every night while enjoying a spectacular meal.
There are many Catamaran tours on the island and you have the option of choosing the sunrise or the sunset tour we picked the sunset tour the tour consisted of taking you to a couple of beaches and the hot water springs for a swim all you could eat of home cooked meals they were sensational and on top of that you can have Santorini wine , beer or water if you preferred then came the views of the sunset from the sea i do think it was the most romantic choice.
During the day you can also visit the many wine cellars and art galleries built deep in the volcanic caves it was so cool in them caves and very artistic with beautiful architectural designs it felt like we were in a Steve McQueen movie 😅
The main Greek Orthodox church called the Panagia of Platsani is located in the center of the town of Oia which has the most spectacular views on the island this is one point were a lot of tourist would gather either to watch the sunrise or the sunset and it was so peaceful and quite all you could hear was the sound of all the cameras clicking away.
Stressed on Santorini!!!!! 😅 😅
The sunsets in Oia ,Santorini is something one has to see in his or hers lifetime can you imagine going to sleep with sunsets like this on top of the world and waking up next next morning with clear blue skies with all these beautiful bougainvillea flowers around you there's nothing quite like it....Paradise on Earth....my only regert was having to leave this place behind and wished i was more into photography then and had a better camera i need to go back 😊
