𝐁.𝐄.𝐀.𝐂.𝐇.. in other words, Best Escape Anyone Can Have
This vacation came as a complete surprise a month ago when I was invited to join with my colleagues/friends (from my previous job) on a trip. Without a doubt, I gladly accepted the invitation. It was a 3 days vacation trip in Bantayan, enough to wander the island and have time to catch up with my friends.
Before anything else, lots of preparation has been done especially with the organizers of this trip. Even me, I've been preparing from its OOTD (outfits-of-the day) down to essential things to bring including the valid IDs and Vaccination Card, aside from that, preparing things at work is a must since it will be a 3 days that I'm out of the office, shoutout to my supervisor, Miss @patsitivity thank you for granting my Vacation leaves 😘

It was Friday night and my friends agreed to meet at SM Cebu as our staring point since North Bus Terminal is way near there. We rode Ceres Bus going to Hagnaya Port, we departed around 7:30pm and arrived at the port around 11:00pm. From Hagnaya Port we need to ride a Super Shuttle Ferry. We waited for 2 hours for the first trip going to the island. While waiting, we roam around the port to check if there's an open convenience store and buy some snacks while waiting, sadly 7/11 store isn't opened so what just we did is we make crazy selfie's and pictures just to past the time.
So its 1 o'clock in the morning and ferry is about to sail to Bantayan Island, it was a very exciting feeling for me since its been years passed since the last time i ride on the waves, however, while sailing the excitement was covered by heavy-eyed feeling, i guess i used up all my energies in our chitchats so me and my friends took a quick nap.
After an hour of sailing, finally we reach the beautiful paradise, BANTAYAN ISLAND. we get-off in the ship and proceed to the port to pay their Ecological Fee, its about 30 pesos (1 USD) this is a requirement implemented in the local before entering the place. It was my friend, Anjaylo's uncle who will fetch us in the port going to our staying place, he was already there waiting for us to arrived, so from the port going to Brgy. Kangkaibe the place where we will be staying in Bantayan, we rode a van.
Arriving in the place at around 3 in the morning, my friends were still sleepy and tired from the long trip we had 😅, so everybody decided to take a rest and agreed to wake up around 7am so we can prepare breakfast and start our Land Trip.
By the way the place where we stay for about 3 days in the island was a house owned by Anjaylo's family and were so lucky since no one lives here for about years and they allow us to stay in the house for free 😇 The house is a complete package from rooms, kitchen and also with the utensils, so we are very much thankful to them for making our stay in the island an economy-friendly. 😊💕

Fast forward, before getting ready with our land trip, we started our day with breakfast, we cooked sunny-side-up eggs and fried fish, we also prepared fresh fruits and Puto Maya (a classic cebuano rice cake) which was bought by my friends since they went to the market to buy stuffs needed in the house, we make it a somewhat like boodle fight type breakfast to enjoy everyone's company.
After we had our very delicious and mouth-watering breakfast, everyone is getting ready and dressed-up for our Land Trip which we will be exploring around the island. A big thanks to my partner Lakwatserang Rich and Jessa from @thegoodBI for the idea on my OOTD 💋

Aside from the famous beaches the Island is known for, Bantayan is also known for having one of the centuries-old life size statue of saints in their church. we decided to start the trip visiting the famous St. Peter and Paul church to offer our thanksgiving and prayers. We also roam around to see for ourselves the beauty of the ceiling mural of the church.
Want something interesting? They say that if it's the first time you visit the church in the place, the first step you make upon entering in the church you should make a wish 😉
After the church visit, we took a picture on the famous I love Bantayan signage which is just a walking distance from the church.

Usually tourist make picture in here and you can choose where you belong; if its CAMP SAWI (Team Brokenhearted) or CAMP WAGI (Team Inlove), for my part i choose CAMP SAWI wanna know why? well that's a secret first 😉😂

Everything were having fun until things happened unexpectedly, Anjaylo got into an accident. Upon diving he didn't expect that it was low tide, his foot was hit in a rock..... luckily, it's not fatal, good thing we have a Physical Therapist-student in our squad, he knows how to do first aid especially situation like this.

After having our little surprise with Noeme, my friends Anjaylo and Ian made Lechon Baka (roasted calf) for our dinner, by the way Anjaylo has his little business named D' Lechon in which they offer Lechon Baka paired with their signature sauce, and it was really delicious, you must try it for yourself 😊
And that's it for our DAY1: LAND TRIP in Bantayan Island. Indeed, Bantayan Island is such a great place, there are still places that we wish we visit however the time runs so fast and unexpected things happened, but this is not yet the end of our adventure there's more!!!!!!! stay stunned for the part 2 of my Bantayan Escapade.
It's Lakwatserang Ninz saying, ABANTE ra ta mga Lakwatsera's!
Just love, Peace out 🤙
