Hi My lovely Hive Friends
How was your weekend day?
Today let's go with me to SAPA TOWN, a scenic spot in the northwest of Viet Nam, is a highland district of Lao Cai province (380 km from Hanoi and close to the border with China).
I have been to this city twice ( First time was in October 2016, last time in April, 2019) and never stopped loving this little foggy city. If I have chance, I would like to come back here again. Because It is a place, Where I can find Peace for my Soul ❤️
Located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, immersed in the floating clouds, Sapa town is like a city in the magical mist, stunning scenery. There is an invaluable resource that is a cool, fresh climate with the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities .
Sapa's climate is more or less temperate, with an average temperature of 15-18°C. It is such an ideal climate that Sapa becomes a great destination for tourists from all over the world.
This place has a peak of Fansipan,The highest mountain in Vietnam with 3,143 meters. So I think here is a good choice for adventure Traveler who like climbing Journey.( You can book climbing tour at Hotel where you stay. They will provide necessary information for you).
I also recommend you should book a Porter ( the name for the ethnic people who are hired to carry luggage, set up tents, and provide accommodation during your trip. Porter rental price is about 10$ to 15$/pax, group of 4 pax. The Price can be changed a bit).
But If you don't want to take 3days 2 night challenges with climbing ( trekking ), you can choose a simpler and faster way by going to the top by cable with about 27 $ /Pax 😉
The best time for you to enjoy and explore Sapa is September and October( April & May are also nice).
We can enjoy the fresh air, the wild beauty of Northwest mountains such as : The terraced fields ( turning from green to golden this season), waterfalls, majestic mountains, and discover the customs, the cultural beauty of ethnic groups.
Come to Sapa to be immersed in the amazing cultural town, to attend the markets full of laughter, singing, and every Saturday night the love market takes place in eager anticipation. Although the market has now disappeared a lot, it still becomes an indispensable symbol when it comes to Sapa
This is the living place of 06 ethnic groups : Black H'Mong, Red Yao , Tay, Pho Lu, Dzay...Ethnic groups in Sapa all have cultural festivals
I have 2 nights in Sapa city center to experience the dancing festival on Saturday night, and went the bars to have fun (most of people come to the bars are mainly foreigners).
For other 2 days, I moved to a remote town called Lao Chai located far from the city center and stayed at SaPa Farmer House. So if you want to escape from the noises of Sapa Town and live a real authentic experiences close to the local people, This small town is a place to book. ( Mind only that the road is under construction, so it is a bit hard to get there, but it is worth it 😎👏)
Here View From my farmstay room !
A bottle of beer right now, in a beautiful natural View is really wonderful
You can hear the sound of plowing in the field echoing in the distance, that one can experience only in a remote village
Thank you so much for visting my blog. I hope you having a great weekend days.
Much Love ❤️❤️❤️
