Hallo liebe Community,
als wir dann nach der Brücke am Eiffelturm ankamen war das schon ein tolles Gefühl. Aus der nähe betrachtet ist er so riesig, da kann man sich richtig vorstellen wie viele Tonnen Stahl hier verbaut wurden. Mit der Geschichte des Eiffelturms will ich Euch hier nicht langweilen, die kann jeder selber nachlesen.
Direkt unte rdem Turm kommt man in ein abgesperrtes gelände zu dem es Zugangs- und Sicherheitskontrollen gibt. Hier befinden sich dann auch die Eingänge zu den Treppen bzw. den Aufzügen. So viel wie ich vermutet hatte war dann gar nicht los, trotzdem mussten wir uns in die kleine Schlange für unseren Zeitslot einreihen und ein paar Minuten warten. Als wir endlich im Aufzug waren dauerte die fahrt auf Ebene 2 aber nur sehr kurz. Schon der Ausblick während der Fahrt war sehr aufregend aber der Ausblick oben angekommen war phänomenal. Das dachten sicher auch die anderen Touristen, die sich zu hunderten am Rand der Plattform drängten um die besten Bilder machen zu können.
Ich sicherte mir einen guten Platz und genoß die Aussicht auf Paris bei untergehender Sonne. Wir hatten aber auch wirklich einen hervorragenden Tag hierfür erwischt. In der Ferne sah man Montmartre, wo wir am Nachmittag noch gewesen waren. Unter uns tummelten sich Menschenmassen auf den Wiesen und auf der Seine zogen Schiffe vorbei. Ein Blick nach oben zeigte schnell, dass der Turm doch noch ein ganzes Stück höher hinauf geht.
Als dann die Sonne in den schönsten rot, gelb, und Orangetönen vor der Skyline von Paris unterging hätte es schöner nicht sein können. Langsam gingen dann auch die Lichter der Stadt an, was den Moment nur noch um so schöner machte. Auch der Eiffelturm wurde von einem warmen geleb Licht erhellt und strahlte in die anbrechende Nacht hinaus. Das war noch viel schöner anzuschauen, als wir wieder unten am Fuße des Turms angekommen waren. Ein wahrlich prachtvolles Schauspiel.
Selbstverständlich wollten wir uns auch die Lichtershow, die jede volle Stunde stattfindet nicht entgehen lassen und so warteten wir bis 23:00 Uhr auf der Brücke vor dem Turm darauf. Um Punkt 23:00 uhr begann der Eiffelturm sodann auch wie wild zu blinken und zu blitzen, durch die tausenden kleinen LED Lichter, die am ganzen Turm angebracht sind. Ich habe versucht dies zu fotogrsafieren, was sich aber schwierig erwies, man sieht immer nur einige Lichter auf den Fotos blitzen, da ja nicht immer alle gleichzeitig an sind. Im Video kam dies natürlich deutlich besser rüber. Aber in natura war es unbeschreiblich schön. Nach 5 Minuten war der Spuk dann auch wieder vorbei und wir machten uns glücklich auf den Rückweg in unser Hotel. Am nächsten tag hatten wir wieder ein straffes Programm geplant und es waren über 30 Grad Außentemperatur angekündigt. Da wussten wir schon, was auf uns zukommen würde, davon wollten wir uns aber nicht abhalten lassen.Schließlich ist man ja nicht andauernd in Paris und wir hatten uns so sehr auf den Ausflug dahin gefreut, das sollte das Wetter uns nicht kaputt machen.

When we finally arrived at the Eiffel Tower after crossing the bridge, it was a fantastic feeling. Up close, it's so huge, you can really imagine how many tons of steel were used to build it. I won't bore you with the history of the Eiffel Tower; everyone can read about it for themselves.
Directly beneath the tower, you enter a cordoned-off area with access and security checks. This is also where the entrances to the stairs and elevators are located. It wasn't as busy as I expected, but we still had to join the small line for our time slot and wait a few minutes. When we finally got into the elevator, the ride to Level 2 was very short. The view during the ride was already very exciting, but the view at the top was phenomenal. The other tourists, hundreds of them, crowded around the edge of the platform to get the best pictures, probably thought the same.
I secured a good spot and enjoyed the view of Paris as the sun set. We had indeed chosen a perfect day for this. In the distance, we could see Montmartre, where we had been that afternoon. Below us, crowds of people milled around on the meadows, and boats passed by on the Seine. A glance upwards quickly revealed that the tower was quite a bit higher after all.
As the sun set in the most beautiful shades of red, yellow, and orange against the Paris skyline, it couldn't have been more beautiful. Slowly, the city lights also came on, which only made the moment all the more beautiful. The Eiffel Tower was also illuminated by a warm, lively light and shone out into the approaching night. This was even more beautiful to watch once we arrived back at the base of the tower. A truly magnificent spectacle.
Of course, we didn't want to miss the light show, which takes place every hour on the hour, so we waited on the bridge in front of the tower until 11:00 PM. At exactly 11:00 PM, the Eiffel Tower began to blink and flash wildly, thanks to the thousands of small LED lights that are mounted all over the tower. I tried to photograph this, but it proved difficult; you only see a few of the lights flashing in the photos, as not all of them are always on at the same time. Of course, it came across much better in the video. But in real life, it was indescribably beautiful. After five minutes, the spectacle was over, and we happily made our way back to our hotel. The next day, we had another tight schedule planned, and the forecast was for temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius. We already knew what to expect, but we didn't want to let that stop us. After all, you're not in Paris all the time, and we were so looking forward to the trip there that we couldn't let the weather spoil it.
