Hi guys this is my first time in #pinmapple , I still don't understand how it works actually so hope you guys understand if I pull something bad or kind of violating the rules. I swear I share this one because this was an absolute amazing discovery through out my adventure life. I don't think I should keep this just for my own, I think the best for this place is to share with you guys #travelers people , so I decided to make it as simple and informatives. I also read the rules about not to cross post or anything , I really really still don't understand where should I put this in the #haveyoubeenthere app or in this post because actually it really confusing for me for a beginners.
So, I found this place not by intention I think you should know this first because of me and my old pal driving around Bali to discover the nature we moving around like a maniac, the best art of this adventure is because we really asking a locals to brings us into a direction, for example I asked a mr. Gusti Made (owner of the grocery store in Bangli (Bali) ) to give us direction of "traveling" spot that offcourse not so many people wiiling to pay a visit, and he told us to go to the Ulun Danu to make a first start, and I was like "oh well why not, lets go Kevin !? ". Kevin was my best friend from Highschool he worked at Bali as Persecutor by the way.
Here the name of the area is Ulun Danu, Bangli, Bali. If you want to google it technically it was pretty simple you can type Patung Dewi Danu ( Danu Godess Statue ) or just type in your google D'ulundanu Bar & Resto. I know you can tell by the name it is written as bar & resto but the in reality there is a small lodge by the side of the lake. It was small, but it was cozy , on the spot, and peacefull. I swear to my mother womb, you won't regret this if you pay a visit. Offcourse I will give you cons and pros and the overall review of the place and the situation, but I just want you to know it was a PARADISE.
This is where Im going to start. In this place there was two dofferent temple that helps us to find this place, you can ask local people about this temple, BUT remember this temple is kinda different , it was only for a several people that really has a religious intention that able to enter the temple. It was a Hindu temple, it was a quite place and also a peacefull place. The Northern temple is the temple that have a HUGE GOLDEN GODDESS STATUE, and the Southern temple is the temple that has kind of labyrinth vibes in it. Both place you can find in google as a bench mark. Some say Southern temple was already there even before colonialism.
If you come from the side of the hill this is the main road for you, thats why I never suggest you with this road. If you come in bike road or even walker road this one is you going to pass through through out this journey. It was a carrot and yams field or anything like that (they planted a several veggies for their daily food, some of them are #vegetarian by blood). Im not going to tell you this was a isolated place, because this wasn't but this place was run by some custom structures, so I hope you guys can behave in this kind of place🤣.
After ypu walked about 5 minutes out from the road this is the opening view, this still in the middle of a village far away from the #tourism destination in Bali. How crazy is that ?? Bali is the one of amazing tourism places in this planet, almost every travellers know Bali and no one ever talk about this place, even if you ask local tourguide they dont even know this place does exist. Ya so many people have issues about this place full of "contained spirit" but I dont really believe in negative way for this one. I mean ya the road is super foggy especially in the night, it was DEAD BLIND if you force to come in, but I don't really feels kind of bad spiritual way. You know what Im saying right ??
Ya this is some kind of something that I guess you need to know before you decide to come. You got the nature touch, the travel is like indiana jones (put away the gold), the lodge is cute as heaven, the view is nothing to compare. When I was arrive it was kind of cloudy day, so I don't have a chance to capture some sunset.
And also thats the huge Golden Goddess statue, you can take the picture from distance but unless you a Hindu , I think you cannot enter the temple, but if you want to take closer picture you can rent a speed boat, considering the place is near side of the lake, so I guess we're all set up if you want to check the area around. By the way its not alligator invested water so I think you will be okay.
Here is some proves to help you believe this story, this kinda place when a #backpacker travellers with the heart of discovery should pay a visit. Im not a spider expert but this spider belong to high price in market place. Actually I also capture an owl and fox but the picture was broken so I cant show you guys.. sorry guys. But please don't worry it won't bother you anything, they belong as a part of this nature so please be nice. I can't really argue if you have phobia for insects guys, but I think nature comes in one package right ??? . So I believe we have a slight of picture here about wilderness of this area.
This was the cute Lodge that I told you earlier, this place was an amazing place to visit. The reason why is because this place always filled by #adeventure people, not going to lie it was a hygiene place though. The bathroom pretty decent and the room is clean. This more like small pier, can I say that ? at the the edge there was a boat that you able to rent. The cost of this lodge is only Rp.240.000 or $ 18 for a night, there is also the bar and lounge at the first point you arrive, small and cute bar you know. I was so thrilled about the mood of this place so I forgot to take picture of the bar, the toilet is separate from the room. So you have to walk to the bar to enter the toilet. For the food the price is average, for you white people I guess you can consider this place as a PARADISE , financially paradise, emotionally paradise, spiritually paradise 😂😇.
Here is some photos of local people doing they daily job as afisherman or gardener. They really enjoy the nature and they trully blessed. As you can see this place was a #nature dominant , but the special part of this is the signal are actually good, wifi is still reachable and amazing. YES they provide you with wifi so dont worry about it.
Like I said some of these locals are fisherman, so they have this kind of work all over the place. I know it sounds weird considering "hidden place" that I mention, but dont worry they will never bother you and this place have a low criminal activities. For me personally some human touch arent that bad, because Im affraid if I need something or anything perhaps I could ask for some help. they also have a grocery store not so far from the place ( 10 minutes ) walks. So I guess for you beginners like me, this going to help a lot.
So I guess it comes as a final result guys. I think this place was amazing place. Really super suitable eith you couples , but still going well for the bunch of buddies that want to fooling around, or even a good spot for a #photography . I guess the place provide us for the tourist that really to find something new, or this place is match for you guys who craving for calmness and looking for the sound of nature. I t was all in place, the main trouble I guess is the road, I really not suggest you to come by night. I personally almost shit on my pants when the night fall and the fog are everywhere, I cant see anything.
Ya guyss.. the choice are yours you can come or you can abadon this place , I also suggest you to come with partner or a friend. Unless you dont have so many friend like mee... hahaha. Thats it guys, hope guys like it and find it informative to read. God bless you all and stay healthy travelers !!!
