Hey all Hive friends in this community, today I will share my journey to find a hidden waterfall in the city of Takengon Aceh. Why is it said hidden? Because residents or tourists rarely come to this waterfall, the place is very beautiful. I say this waterfall is a hidden paradise because besides being very beautiful and kept clean, this waterfall has several very beautiful levels, I really like being here, full of serenity and definitely free from noise that can make our hearts chaotic.
This waterfall is named mangaya waterfall for residents around Takengon, the location of this waterfall is around the Fresh Water Lake which is still in Takengon city, it's just that to be able to go to Mangaya waterfall there are no special directions, and when I reading the map on my cellphone, the signal on the cellphone was completely cut off, so we had to grope for our own way, even though actually to find this waterfall we just had to follow the existing road and it went straight to the waterfall, but because of the difficult terrain due to road conditions that have not been paved and road conditions that are still dirt untouched by construction and some traces of 4-wheeled vehicle tires which make the road conditions worse so that to be passed by two wheels is very difficult, especially two-wheeled automatic types like us.
This waterfall, which is in the middle of a local coffee plantation, if managed properly, is actually very promising to improve the economy of local residents by selling entrance tickets and selling food and drinks, of course. but it seems the local people don't think about that, because a place as beautiful as this is really abandoned without any clear management and is really like a haunted house, I'm a little afraid to be in this waterfall. What I'm afraid of is not just ghosts that are in broad daylight, but wild animals such as tigers, monitor lizards and snakes, of course.
Although there was a sense of dread about some unfounded fear, due to the fact that when we were at the waterfall the only visitors there were me and my husband and no other visitors. Nonetheless we tried to enjoy our day at this waterfall. Not satisfied with climbing the first waterfall, we also tried to climb to the next waterfall, this is really perfect, the water is very clear and shallow and there are lots of herbs that grow around the waterfall, my husband also took these herbs.
When I looked around this waterfall, it turned out that there were houses and photo spots that were deliberately made for the convenience of visitors, but all of them were abandoned and their owners had abandoned them, maybe they were looking for a better life in the city. even in one corner of the house I saw a two-wheeled vehicle that was worn out and was no longer abandoned in the house. even so I see there are still some flowers that grow and live beautifully even though not maintained.
The conclusion that I got from this waterfall, this is really a beautiful place and hidden from outside tourists, but whatever it is, maybe there is a reason why this place is not managed, this place is really worth visiting, I really like it. And have you ever been in my position to search for hidden beautiful places and can you share that story? Let's share and keep following my posts, greetings from us Tomi and Maya from the city of Binjai, Indonesia
