We can't really tell you much about this mosque, but when we visited Banda Aceh last December for our year-end vacation, we accidentally saw this mosque. This mosque is not the main mosque in Banda Aceh City like the Baiturahman Grand Mosque. The location of the Haji Keucik Laumiek mosque is also not located on the main road but is only in a small alley. However, the architecture of this mosque fascinated my husband and I to see it.
The Haji Keucik Laumiek Mosque is located on Jalan Lamseupeung, Lueng Bata District. Banda Aceh City. This mosque is also known as the golden dome mosque. This mosque is visited by many domestic and foreign tourists. There is a long history that this mosque has during its construction process. This mosque is a private mosque without asking for any help from the government or local residents, the mosque built by Haji Harun's family can now be used by the general public.
Although this mosque was built from personal funds, this mosque was not built haphazardly, this can be seen from the existing architecture, from the mosque's courtyard to the architecture of the mosque itself. When we entered the gate of this mosque, we saw the dominant architecture of the aceh area there, then walking into the mosque's courtyard we found several date palms that were deliberately planted in the mosque's courtyard which had already grown taller trees. Then a large parking lot and a mosque security post were also built there.
In the courtyard of the mosque, we can also see black-painted stilt houses made of boards with the nuances of the Aceh region which is quite thick with very beautiful and well-maintained decorations. Under the stilt house, there is also a function for parking motorbikes and relaxing visitors who are waiting for prayer time. This stilt house itself is used as a warehouse for logistics storage or a place for mosque items used for unions to help the surrounding community.
Moving from the courtyard of the mosque, when we entered the terrace of the mosque, we could already see the very modern architecture of the mosque. The combination of Spanish architecture with the Middle East is very thick there, the large and towering pillars and the very shiny lacquer show its own class, we can even reflect on the pillars, decorative lights with modern and classic nuances merge into one. And the marble floors are shiny and very well maintained. Very elegant mosque to visit.
In front of this mosque there is also a garden that can be used for children's play or visitors who want to relax in this place, enjoying the splendor of the Haji Keucik Laumiek mosque from this park makes a different sensation, that this mosque is not only a place of worship for Muslims, it will but also can be used as a tourist attraction.
Learn from this mosque, that no matter how much wealth we have, it will not be taken to death, share a little for the facilities of many people who need it so that there is true happiness that we have. There is no false happiness that sometimes we don't know what the treasure is for, it's like there is an empty space in the heart, empty
That's all for our post today, greetings from us Tomi and Maya from the City of Binjai Indonesia, stay tuned for our next post. Healthy and happy always for all of us.
