Before going to the Japanese heritage cave in Bukit Tinggi City, I visited the Japanese Cave which is found in several areas, such as the Japanese Cave which is located on Sabang Island, Aceh and the Japanese Cave which is located in Lokhsumawe City. Each of the Japanese Caves has its own story, which is clearly only a sad story in it, but apart from that, everything around the Japanese Caves that I visited all had beautiful views and was very stunning, even though in the Japanese Cave itself there was a very scary aura. . and that's without making it up, even though we're walking with a group.
Apart from all that, now I will invite you to compare the Japanese Cave in the City Center of Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra. On the information board located in front of the Japanese Cave, the history of how this Japanese Cave was formed is told, not only that, right in front of the Japanese Cave there is also a map of the entire Japanese Cave which turns out that the Japanese cave has many branches and functions so if we don't Be careful and don't follow the directions and we might get lost in another area, because the Japanese cave in Bukit Tinggi City is very wide, deep and very scary compared to the two Japanese caves I have visited before.
From the information I read on the tourist board, this Japanese Cave was built in 1942 and completed in 1944 and this hole was built to provide protection from enemies. To find out what is inside this Japanese Cave, we have to go through almost 200 steps with very dim lighting and tend to be dark, but I didn't get into the cave because my legs felt tired, and I was forced to stop in the middle of the road and didn't Continue the journey to the bottom of the Japanese cave. And you should know that the length of this Japanese hole reaches 6 meters and below with a width of approximately 2 meters, and as I have said, this hole was made with many shortcuts or turns to trick the enemy and to store weapons and food.
OK, and because I didn't go too far into the cave and I can't explain it in too much detail, I'll give you other information, namely regarding ticket prices. To enter this Japanese cave we have to buy tickets at different prices. Tickets for children are Rp. 10,000, adult ticket for domestic visitors Rp. 15,000 and international tickets Rp. 20,000. and with the ticket you have paid for, you can enjoy a very beautiful panoramic view of the park with a backdrop of Mount Padang. Not only that, there are many places to relax with traders selling lots of regional food at very cheap prices.
And my conclusion is that the Japanese hole in the city of Bukit Tinggi is much more structured and more integrated so that it is very well maintained and they are very ready to make this Japanese hole a typical tourist destination in the Bukit Tinggi area. Compared to other Japanese caves that I visited, I admit that the Japanese Cave in this city is very cool and has a more spooky aura. However, if we look at the surrounding scenery, everything has its own charm and depends on the tastes of visitors.
