Good evening Hive friends, it's been a long time since I shared the beautiful places in Indonesia, my country, especially in the province where I live, namely North Sumatra. However, because this is December and the month with my longest holiday because it coincides with the semester break for school children. Because it's a long holiday, my husband and I are going on vacation for domestic purposes only and this time we decided to go around the city of Takengon, which is in the Province of Aceh. Takengon City is different from other cities in Aceh, because usually almost all cities in Aceh Province are in the sea area, but it is different from Takengon City where this City is a city on the top of a mountain with a cold climate, which is cool and one more thing is that there is no factory smoke here, all the air that I breathe is sterile.
The main tourist attraction in Takengon is actually Lake Lau Kawarnya, not too big with Lake Toba which is in North Sumatra Province. However, Lake Lau Kawar has its own charm with terraced rice fields, mountains and people's habits, making Takengon city is worth visiting. However, it turns out that in Takengon City, it is not only Lake Lau Kawar that is the main destination here, there are several main destinations that are quite challenging and test your adrenaline, one of which is Pantan Terong, which is better known as the Land above the Clouds.
Why is it called the Land above the Clouds? Because the location of the Pantan Terong tourist attraction is on a hill, the road to the Pantan Terong hill is very steep and winding, but the asphalt road is very smooth from the city of Takengon to the Pantan Terong hill in about 30 minutes by using a 2-wheeled vehicle. If you can drive an Offroad car, it will be very exciting to reach this peak. Many tourist objects in other areas are on top of the hill, but Pantan Terong is different from the others, maybe because Takengon doesn't have a factory building and is in a series of hills so when we are here, especially if it's our luck, Pantan Terong is really it's true like a country above the clouds where clouds are real and there are so many of them gathering around us and what needs to be underlined is that this will not be fog.
This Pantan Terong Tourism Object opens at 9.00 am, which is a very afternoon time for tourism objects in my opinion, because this Pantan Eggplant tourist attraction will be much prettier if we visit at 06.00 am, the clouds are still very much and the cold air that greets makes us it will be very comfortable to linger in this place. Because it was open too late, while at 06.00 in the morning we were already at the tourist attraction, so we jumped over the fence to be able to enter it and it turned out that there were several backpakers who did the same thing, but don't imitate us... ha... ha... we did that, didn't we? without the first reason because this tourist attraction is indeed more beautiful if we come earlier and the second is because if we arrive earlier there will be many other tourist destinations that we can visit not only this Pantan Terong tourist attraction.
And almost forgot that to enter this Pantan Eggplant tourist object, we are only charged Rp. 5000 only, and even though this place is on a hill, there is no need to worry because the place has been made as good as possible so we don't have to be too tired to climb. And hopefully you guys can come here as soon as possible huh? This place is more beautiful than I have described.
