Hey, wanderers! How are you? I hope you are doing just fine. It's Marinel again, (minelwanders20) taking you on one of the most thrilled packed adventures I've had in the southern part of Cebu - or most known as the Queen City of the South. I am so excited to share it with you how this adventure went. A very unforgettable travel journey from the exciting cliffs of canyoneering, to swimming with the giant whale sharks and ultimately relaxing at the beach. C'mon and let me take you with me as I unwrapped all the exciting happenings in this travel.
This is the starting point for this activity. Our first agenda is the canyoneering. We need to descend by sliding over from the small and large rocks with flowing water. We must follow the flow of the water going down. We just enjoy every bit of it by swimming, jumping and gliding. We did enjoy this activity since it's new from us, and we felt thrilled and excited. It's just easy for us what to do in each level because we have a tour guide giving us the instructions what to do. Plus they are the ones who took us all the pictures. 😊
You can see through our happy faces and big smiles how we really enjoyed this activity. Every level is adventurous and we're ready and happy to comply it in any ways. In this level, it feels really good about the intensity of the water that almost carry us from going down. The coldness of the water gives us the soothing and relaxing feeling. Since this is a nice spot, we took a pose and our photographer take the picture immediately.
Another unforgettable activity is this one. Looking back at our journey just by looking at this photos makes me smile. This one is we need to go hand by hand, feet by feet. 🤣 Did you get what I am talking about? Just look at the photos itself. 😅 Kidding aside hehe our photographer told us to do like this. We were told to lie down close to each other, holding onto the feet of the person in front of us so we could just float, and the one leading us would guide everyone.
Another epic spot. What to do? Of course, take a picture for a remembrance of the place and for memories to look back. 😊 In doing this activity, you need to be extra careful because some of the rocks are very rough and some are also mossy. In order for you to be safe, you need to step on the water with full force and make sure that the spot you are stepping is safe and stable to prevent any risk injuries and sudden bad incidents to happen.
Just look how amazing this place is. All our poses and spot for picture taking was the idea of our tour guide/photographer. And we're just happy and hundred percent ready to comply in everything. He showed us every pictures that he took and we are so impressed.
Another part of this adventure that I like is this one. 😅 It's nothing special, not a very amazing picture, but the feeling I had here was very happy. It felt like we had a task that needs to accomplish because we had to and needed to reach into the finish line. And this is were our canyoneering adventure in Kawasan ended.
After wrapping up our canyoneering adventure, we found a nearby beach for the next highlight of our journey—whale shark watching. We decided to spend the night at a beach in the South and continue our adventure the following day. Since we finished canyoneering late in the afternoon, we opted to save the whale shark experience for tomorrow.
Because of the heavy activity we had today, we felt very tired and want to have some rest. You can really see at the picture that we are very tired. 😅 We didn't even care the people swimming and roaming around. All we care is to have a rest and prepare some energy for our activity tomorrow. We will just enjoy the place tonight, if we can wake up at this heavy sleep. 🤣
Early in the morning, when the sun began to set, we immediately rushed to Oslob beach where the whale sharks located. As we reached to Oslob Beach, after we pay for our entrances and reservations for a boat, the staffs told us that we need to attend the orientation first before we can go to the water so that we can't break any rules and for us to be informed about the whale sharks and other living things in the water.
At this moment, we are waiting for our boat. We are just so excited. This is my first time doing this activity. I felt very nervous and at the same time very excited to see some creatures live. (What's taking the boat so long?) Chars! 😅 I am just so excited to dive in. NOTE. Not just me but us. 😊
Tadaaaaa! Where on the boat already and in a few minutes, finally I can see a whale shark in person. By the way, I am so sorry that I can't show you full coverage of this activity. I couldn't care more anything at this time. All I care is to swim beside the shark and feel it's presence next to me. Sorry po. ✌️
And that's all for my unending journey. Looking forward for another one, soon. 🤗 This has been Marinel, (minelwanders20) your wanderer in Cebu. Till next time, Ciao! 😘
