Hello friends ,how are you,i hope you all are fine .Today i post here my visit to a beautiful place known by the name YOUSMARG and i myself feel that it was one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited.
It was in August 2021,one day i woke up at around 7:00am as it was sunday and i had thought to stay home .After coming back from the walk ,got myself freshened up and then had my breakfast. After completing my breakfast i started my routine of writing down the current affairs of the previous day .Doing the same for a while i then went to shop to buy some food items for lunch .
After having lunch ,my friend Zameer khanday called me and told me that he had to go to a tourist place YOUSMARG also called THE MEADOW OF JESUS located at about 35km distance from our village along the main route but if we go through a shortcut it is only 25 km away .And we opted for the shortcut route ,we had to go through this route for the first time and we had no clue about the tough terrain and slope of the road .we started our journey at about 2:00 pm .
my friend with his two wheeler asking the tribals the directions.
the offroad route
While riding towards the place we had to face a lot of tough situations where i had to walk on foot leaving the scooty for my friend only because the slope was too steep for a scooty to negotiate.
the offroad we ride our scooty on.
The road was so rough that i was almost exhausted after we travelled halfway, but we enjoyed the road as well because it was no less than an adventure.
After almost two hours of departure we reached a point from where whole of the beautiful meadow namely YOUSMARG was visible ,producing a beautiful view.
We almost spend 3 hours in the meadows ,a lot of local as well as foreign tourists were there ,enjoying the beauty of nature .My friend and me sat on one side of the meadow near a stream and spent the time in peace and serenity. The place is known for being a place loved by Britishers when they ruled india.Britishers used to call it MEADOW OF JESUS and loved the place. They are responsible for making the world know about the place.
I also took some photographs of the place to share within the community and show the people how beautiful my valley KASHMIR is.
!this picture shows the mud houses in which the tribals live .these houses are called KOTHA.
On exploring the valley we found some different coloured mushrooms and berries which we have seen never before. These were fascinating to see
After spending some time in the place ,we decided to return to our places but this time along some proper metal road,to avoid any unnecessary delays.
