A short journey to a farmer's village: Satara Dahiwadi

I would like to thank the admins and all the moderators of the Worldmappin community. Because of you, we have a chance to share the joy of traveling in our daily life. Along with this, we can share the travel experiences of people from all over the world with each other. Well, this is a very good thing. Last week, I also went with one of my friends to see his village for a day. Friends, my friend's village is in Dahiwadi tehsil in Satara district.

It is about three hundred kilometers from Mumbai. You can go here only by bus. It is two hundred kilometers from Pune. Friends, this friend of mine is also from a farmer family like me; his village is close to my village, about fifty kilometers away. Although there is less rain in his village due to a lot of rain this year, it is green everywhere till this month. Otherwise, there is a big problem of water here. This year the crops have come very well here. People here do farming; they also had a bull. I like it very much. I went near that bull. I was scared, but my friend said it is very calm; it does not do anything. Then I went near it; it was really calm. I stroked its back, it was calm; on the contrary, it started loving me. Friends, this area is very calm and very beautiful. We stayed here for a night; the dinner was a little spicy but very tasty. This Satara district in Maharashtra is very famous for spicy food. If you ever get a chance, you must taste it. I also visited a beautiful temple, Shikhar Singnapur, near here. From there, we came back to Mumbai after roaming around. Thank you.
