Caracas Botanical Garden
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a botanical garden for the first time, I had no idea that I could enter its areas, considering that they are spaces that deal with the study of plants and I imagined a laboratory with scientists and students where they do their biological practices with restrictions to the public.

Jardín Botánico De Caracas Recientemente, tuve la oportunidad de visitar por primera un jardín botánico, no tenía idea de que podía entrar a sus áreas, teniendo en cuenta que son espacios que se ocupan del estudio de las plantas y me imaginaba un laboratorio con científicos y estudiantes donde hacen sus prácticas biológicas con restricciones al público.

It turns out that I was given the opportunity to meet him through a cousin who is very fond of botany and during those days we talked a lot about the environment. I was spending a few days in her family home, in the sector of San Diego, Carabobo state. She told me that she had to travel to Caracas early, so I shortened my days and convinced her to go with her to visit the garden.
Resulta que se me dio la oportunidad de conocerlo por medio de una prima a la que le gusta mucho la botánica y durante esos días hablamos mucho del medio ambiente. Yo estaba pasando unos días en su casa familiar, en el sector de San Diego, estado Carabobo. Ella me comunicó que temprano tenía que viajar a Caracas, así que acorté mis días, la convencí, para ir con ella y visitar el jardín.
As a nature lover, I was curious to know so much plant space, and with a variety of plants that provide a lot of knowledge, so I could experience the moment. Upon entering the garden, you already connect with the environment, it seemed to me like an oasis in the middle of the city where the stillness is interrupted by the rustling of dry leaves when you step on them. Some squirrels, on the lookout for their prey, are frightened and they take refuge when they feel threatened.
Como amante de la naturaleza, tenía curiosidad de conocer tanto espacio vegetal, y con una gran variedad de plantas que brindan mucho conocimiento, así pude experimentar el momento. Al entrar al jardín, ya te conectas con el entorno, me pareció un oasis metido en medio de la ciudad donde la quietud es interrumpida por el crujido de las hojas secas al pisarlas. Algunas ardillas, al asecho de sus presas, se asustan y satán a refugiarse al sentirse amenazadas.
The botanical garden was an incredible place, when you enter it seems like a refuge in the middle of the forest, in its route we found a variety of plant species, I could be in contact with the xerophytic garden, while my cousin explained me some details, these plants have as characteristics that adapt to dry places, or very arid lands and develop very well, there are many paths and signs that lead to different gardens, the trees in their habitat extend without limitations. And the great variety of flowers by their colors stand out among so much green.
El jardín botánico resultó un lugar increíble, cuando te adentras en él parece un refugio en medio del bosque, en su recorrido nos encontramos con una variedad de especies de plantas, pude estar en contacto con el jardín xerófilo, mientras que mi prima me explicaba algunos detalles, estas plantas tienen como características que se adaptan a lugares secos, o tierras muy áridas y se desarrollan muy bien, hay muchos caminos y señalizaciones que nos llevan a diferentes jardines, los árboles en su hábitat se extienden sin limitaciones. Y la gran variedad de flores por sus colores sobresalen entre tanto verde.

I could see some greenhouses in the distance, but as I approached they were closed.
Ese día estaban haciéndole mantenimientos y limpiando algunas áreas por lo que el recorrido ecológico fue a las zonas más llanas, entre las explicaciones que me da la prima, el jardín botánico, entre sus jardines, tiene un jardín para plantas medicinales, se dice que el jardín está habitado especies de aves e incestos. La idea de su sembradío de plantas de diferentes especies botánicas se debe al científico venezolano Tobías Lasser, que la concretó con la ayuda de un jardinero alemán. Pude ver a lo lejos a algunos invernaderos, pero al acercarme estaban cerrados.

El paisaje es genial. Irrumpir, en medio de la naturaleza y disfrutarla plenamente es algo sensacional, solo tú y ella esperando el pellizco de algún incesto que trata de desconcentrarte. El verdor y la espesa vegetación te hacen caminar sin parar, e ir descubriendo esa belleza natural que te invita a explorar más sus caminos. Una experiencia que solo el medio ambiente nos puede brindar.
