Hi bloggers. Today I want to share my journey at Wisata Buaya Asam Kumbang ( Asam Kumbang Crocodile Tourism). I spent my day off visiting the zoo. It had been a long time since I had been to one.
Established in 1959 by Lo Tham Muk, this crocodile breeding ground spans two hectares. Beginning with his love for these wild reptiles, the breeding ground now has thousands of crocodiles. They are open from 8am to 6pm.
There are two types of crocodiles in captivity here: Muara Crocodile and Sinyulung Crocodile. The place is very big and clean. The crocodiles here range in age from three to 60 years old.
The entrance fee for the crocodile tour is 20,000 rupiah (about $1.30 USD). After purchasing the ticket, you will be given a barcoded ticket to enter. Once inside, you will see a banner with information about the facilities and cafes.
If you walk to the right, you will soon find the first crocodile enclosure. This 52-year-old crocodile is very long and big. Further inside, you will find a large garden with a fish pond and comfortable resting areas.
The fish ponds are located under the bridge throughout the garden. This place is very shady and beautiful and suitable for an educational tour with children.
What caught my attention the most was the crocodile aquarium in the center of the park. Once inside, you can immediately see the green water of the crocodile pond through the aquarium glass.
Some crocodiles were basking in the afternoon sun, while others were swimming in the pool. Some even approached the glass. It's so close! They're so big and attractive.
These crocodiles are grouped by age. A description of each group's age is provided on the corresponding fence.
There is also a pond containing a "Stumped Crocodile" that does not have a tail. There is no explanation as to whether the crocodile was born this way or if it lost its tail for another reason.
For a fee of 5 thousand rupiah ($0.3), you can take a closer look or take a photo with the crocodile. A crocodile handler is ready to arrange the photo safely because the crocodile's mouth has been tied.
In addition to crocodiles, this breeding tour features several other animals, including a small zoo. There are rabbits, turtles, two snakes, monitor lizards, and monkeys. The animals' cages are clean and well-maintained.
That's all my journey. Thank you everyone wish you a great day ahead ❤️
