The very first thing that I noticed when I visited the central part of this campus, was this beautiful restaurant that was built inside of the buildings itself. I could see people eating their on the top floor with the view of the whole Darbar Square from our I wish I could get there and have some food, but I was running out of time so I saved it for the latter.
The sun was slowly setting, and the darkness was prevailing now. I have walked across the Darbar Square and my guide, asked me to go to the market now and explore the market.
The market was very narrow street in between the two buildings that led to the outside road. There were many different shops on the both sides as you can see in the photograph below.
This market was very expensive as this was the main attraction of this place. So many tourist come here and that naturally increases the price of everything because of that, I didn’t buy anything from that market, but it was still very fun to move around and explore different things.
I circled the whole market, and now I was back to the square and to my surprise, there was a little ceremony that was happening in the middle of the at that time, Nepali people were playing their traditional instruments and the sound they were making was really fascinating.
In the photograph below, you can see those people who are playing Music. They were sitting outside of this beautiful temple in the middle of the Darbar Square and they were playing the original music. There was a little kind of ceremony. Also that was going on there. I was not sure what was that ceremony exactly, but I loved to watch them.
I said there for about 10 minutes and waited for everyone from my group to collect their. It was the guideline of our guide to be collected there so that we could collectively go to the buses from where we would then go to the hotel rooms we were staying in.
It took us around 15 minutes together, everyone from our group. It was getting dark very fast, and we had to rush back as half the people were waiting for us in the buses only and it was already half an hour extra.
We started getting back exactly at the time of sunset when the sun was kissing the horizon. I tried to capture several photos on my way back that you can see below.
After walking for about 20 minutes, we reached the parking where our buses were parked. I went to my grandparents and asked if they were doing alright. They all were having fun and they were having conversations about the trip and how and where we would be going next, they were all really happy and they Were talking since past half an hour when I asked them.
So, we reached at our hotel after half an hour of Drive, and I straight went to the terrace to see The night view of the Kathmandu city from the hotel room. The photographs below shows you just that view which I was seeing.
The most prominent structure that I could see in the middle of the city was Buddha statue. The bill that you can see in the photograph that’s mostly lit is that statue I was talking about. I have written a blog about it in my last week series as well, that you can refer.
We had good food in the restaurant, and we all were tired from the full days of activities. Tomorrow, we had to go to the Pokhra and a couple of more places on the way.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
